We had two rooms last weekend and checked in at 5pm. the hotel is easy to get to from the town center (it costs just £4.10 for a return).

The room was comfortable and dark which is a positive. Checkout time is not until 12 so that gave us extra time in bed :)

There are not many places close enough to walk to if you do not want to eat at the Hilton. There was a free shuttle to the airport/trainstation should you wish to use it however it didnt take very long to walk.

The room was quite noisy when other guests were checking in and out (doors banging etc). Also it cost quite a lot to park the car.

Overall a lovely stay and we would stay again but maybe park the car somewhere else.

Dear Guest

Thank you very much for your appraisal of our hotel here and it does sounds as though you enjoyed being with us.

Yes, we are very close to City Centre Manchester, only 20 minutes away by train, with the train statation locacted opposite us and our courtesy bus drops off and picks up from there should you not wish to walk.

I am sorry there was a bit of noise with doors slamming, we do try to mimimize this and I will ask our chief engineer is there is anything more that we could do.

Our weekend check-out time of mid-day is fantastic for a lie-in, especially if you've been out Christmas shopping or at one of our great party evenings here at the hotel.

Next time you come, you could always come by train and leave the car at home! Beats the traffic and saves on parking!

Stayed here overnight before an early morning flight. Room was lovely and clean, spacious, well appointed. Very comfortable bed, excellent bathroom. Had an evening meal in the restaurant, which was very good indeed. All the staff were very attentive and friendly, would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

This hotel was well situated for my Buisness at Manchester Airport. I could not fault the accomodation or resturant. All was very good. The health suite was adequate for quick work out but if more than two or three people want to use at same time then not enaough equipment. There is no pool or spa.

We went as a family of five, two interconnecting rooms. Good rooms, reasonable breakfast. WE stayed just for 10 hours, over night. WE have been charged £24 as car park fee for 9-10 hours over night stay!

We have stayed at this hotel at least three times before and the first time we had the best meal of the entire holiday!! the next time they were renovating the restaurant and we sat in a room at the back of the hotel somewhere and made excuses for any mistakes in the food. This time, three times after our initial wow experience and the reason we chose to stay there rather than go elsewhere in the airport, was an absolute disaster! The baked brie we ordered as a shared starter was stone cold and ,whereas last time we had it here it was accompanied by really interesting bread, this time it was accompanied by ordinary bread barely toasted which would not dunk into the cheese at all without buckling. We sent it back and it came back, obviously microwaved (I'm a chef so please don't try and fool me!) but still cold in the middle. We gave up with that course. The second course was also a disaster. The staff were fantastic at sorting us out but that notwithstanding a hotel with the calibre of the Hilton chain should get their meals up to standard or just stick to Pizzas on the dinner menu. We certainly will IF we ever stay there again!

To go from having a fantastic experience to feeling so let down is not acceptable and I have asked that my Head Chef kindly looks into the matter. I have also requested that if you let us know the next time you are staying, that he meets with you personally so that you are feel cared for, valued and respected.

It does sounds as though my staff did their best to correct the situation for you which I am very pleased about. However, you are still left with a negative impression and I do hope that we can change this for you.

Me and my mother stayed at the hotel because we were flying to Denmark the next day and we needed a hotel close to the terminal.

The hotel is really close to the train station, probably a 5-10 minute walk away so there was no need to get a taxi.

The receptionist was brilliant and gave a warm welcome when we arrived.

The room was spacious, clean and well presented upon arrival, the only negative was trying to work out how the control panel for the heating worked, it would sometimes automatically turn off and there were frequent periods where the room was cold, I eventually worked it out but I couldn't really tell if any heat was blasting out.

Other than that I was really impressed with the hotel.

Thank you very much for your review and it is so lovely to read that you and your mother truly enjoyed your stay. Yes, the train station is very close, as are the airport terminals. We do have complimentary 24 hour shuttle buses running so there is no need to walk with your luggage unless you wish to, just ring us and we will collect.

I am sorry that you found the controls in the bedroom hard to work. For any future stays, just ask us to pop up and help with anything like that so that there is no worry or stress for you.

I will let the receptionist team know that you have praised your check-in, it is always appreciated to be noted for really good warm service.

We spent one night here since we had an early flight out of Manchester airport. Room was clean but small, wireless in room not free but complimentary in lobby for 45 minutes. No availability of ice or soft drinks other than in bar or restaurant. Front desk staff efficient, helpful and friendly. Airport shuttle readily available. We were mistakenly dropped at the wrong terminal - the walk between terminals is quite a hike so be sure to know the proper drop off point. Overall a reasonable experience and definitely convenient to the airport.
