Good hotel

Close to all things in the city

Room good and clean

Service good

Had a good experience and will stay here again

Heavy rain lashing at my window all night, but I guess that this nothing to do with the hotel

Good value and fine breakfast experience again with good service

If money wern't an option I'd choose the Radisson Edwardian everytime I stayed in Manchester on business but this makes a decent alternative. On par with the Hilton and better than the vastly over rated and outdated Midland just down the road. I had a disappointing breakfast experience but think this was a one off my an incompetent chef rather than the norm as my dinner the night before was fine

Brilliantly located, with above average rooms.

The reception were a little under enthusiastic on check in. And if entering from Princess St you enter the bar instead of reception, which isnt very well signposted.

Still a nice place to stay, especially when work is paying!

I stayed on a Wednesday night and was greeted by a very warm welcome at check in, which was also very efficient. The first impressions of this hotel are very good, modern with a high standard of decor.

The hotel is centrally located and ideal for exploring Manchester on foot and is right next to China town. A car park is located within 100 yards.

The superior room on the fifth floor was spacious, modern and very clean, with a large double bed, desk and round table. The bathroom was large with a tub and shower, one criticism the shower was very small, its a shame with such a large bathroom that a larger shower hadn't being installed.

The only other slight niggle was the lighting, great from a mood point of view but frustrating in the morning when trying to read.

Check out was very straightfoward, the receptionist asking if I needed a taxi to the station, as soon as I mentioned I had the car he offered a complementary 30% discount card which I used.

I certainly would use this hotel again.

We visited Macdonald townhouse for one night to go to a gig at Manchester Academy.

The hotel is clean, well decorated with spacious rooms! The bed was really comfortable and having a bath AND a shower cubicle was good as you never see this anymore. The service we received when checking in was great, the man on reception was very friendly and chatty!

I read on here that the hotel can get a bit noisy at night so i requested to be on a top floor away from the main road which they did for us. People have moaned about noise levels but what do you expect when you are staying in a city centre!!! Seems ridiculous that people are moaning about shouting and taxi's beeping etc! If you don't want noise then stay in the country!

If you turn to the right on the main road the arndale centre and shopping area is about 10 mintues up the road and oxford train station is about 5 minutes away.

The only one small moan I will have was the shower wasn't great as the water kept going on and off.

I would definitely stay here again!! Room 503 was great and spacious and away from all the hustle and bustle as your on the top floor!

Room Tip: Room 503 was good! On the top floor and on the corner so away from the nightclub.

I have recently returned from a one night stay at this hotel and was not disappointed. Its in a great location ... about a 5 min walk from the station and 5 min walk from the Arndale so you are just on the outskirts of the hustle and bustle.

Room was lovely and clean and although the room was set as a double when I requested a twin the housekeeping team were very efficient and changed this within a matter of minutes.

We had a drink in the main bar/restaurant in the evening and it was really relaxing with a nice atmosphere. Breakfast was freshly prepared and served to the table and was great.

If returning to Manchester in the future I would choose to stay again.

Room Tip: We had a room on the fifth floor which I would assume would be quieter than on other levels.

I staid for à weekend and had à really nice stay. We had an executive room with both shower (waterfall) and a bathtub, lovely. The bed was wonderful, one of the best I have slept in at a hotell. The breakfast is below average, almost everything was finished and they were very slow to fill up. The hotel is well located, about 10 minutes walk from shopping. Close to chinatown. We had dinner at the hotel and we had to wait very long for the food, but they served us a free starter which was good. I do recommened this hotel.
