“Amazing hotel”
Reviewed June 14, 2012

I stayed in this hotel with my husband for our anniversary on the back of a recommendation from a friend.  We live in Manchester so wouldn’t normally stay in a hotel in the city but the grandparents offering to have the children for the night is too good an opportunity to miss.
We stayed in what appeared to be a newly decorated room, beautifully appointed, spacious and quirky, there was a roll top bath in the bedroom!  Watching TV whilst soaking in the bath with a glass of champagne was real luxury.   The bed was so comfy and the huge rain shower was just the thing in the morning.  We both had cooked breakfast which we agreed was the best we’ve ever eaten.

Unfortunately it rained the whole time we were there so we didn’t get to enjoy the beautiful garden.  Maybe next time.

The service here is impeccable.  The staff is genuinely friendly and nothing too much trouble.  The receptionist recommended a great restaurant and booked a table for us and the smiley waitress at breakfast, obviously busy, was unflustered, efficient and made time to chat to us. On check out we met another receptionist who was also just as friendly.

This place is a real find, you almost want to keep it a secret but it’s not fair on the rest of you to not experience it.  We will most definitely be returning!

Room Tip: Ask for room 35

I WAS going to start off by slamming the hotel for the wi-fi costs (somewhere - on booking.com (?) it said that the price was a WHOPPING £10/hour). Turns out the website was incorrect and the real charge is first hour free, THEN £10/day. Having said that, if I'm paying up to £142/day for a hotel, I EXPECT free wi-fi (come on guys, if they can do it in ordinary hotels in Thailand, you should be able to as well). Okay - rant over.

The hotel. All I can really do is repeat what so many other people have written. Really nice hotel with FANTASTICALLY friendly and helpful staff (from reception to the breakfast staff). Nothing is too much effort.

We stayed at the Didsbury House last year (just around the corner) and I was asked by reception which I preferred; it all depends. Didsbury house has a nice reception/bar area, but Eleven has a beautiful garden, so I guess it ends up as ... if you're staying in winter, Didsbury house. If you're staying spring/summer then Eleven would be the better choice.

Thanks for a great stay

Room Tip: Ask for a room where the toilet ALSO has a washbasin, not in the separate bathroom

Stayed in the hotel on night for business. It is a nice boutique style hotel that made you feel welcome and at home immediately. I was in room 17th which was very nice with a view of the garden. They offer a BBQ that was very reasonable priced with good quality. The staff was very friendly and responsive to any question you had. Can recommend the hotel if you are visiting Manchester

Room Tip: Room 17 was very nice

Very friendly receptionist, nice rooms, decor etc. Short walk through the park into the village. We chose Eleven Didsbury Park rather than Didsbury House (they are in the same road) just because it was smaller and quieter. If you are looking to spend time in the bar in the evening probably not the right choice but we were very happy with our stay. Avoid room 32 as the ventilation from the kitchen blows into the bedroom window.

Room Tip: Choose Eleven Didsbury rather than Didsbury House if you are looking for a quieter hotel

I use Eleven Didsbury Park & Didsbury House Hotel for business travellers but have also stayed there myself. The rooms are amazing, luxurious decorated and really are comfortable yet stylish.

The staff are by far the best I have come across in any hotel and they excel at being both professional and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble and every whim is catered for. The food is excellent and I can highly recommend the English Breakfast!

Overall, you will not find a better hotel locally and I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Firstly from the both of us we would like to thank Jess & the whole team @ EDP.
They walked us through the planning process and catered for all of our requests, everything was managed smoothly and professionally from the first meeting through the food & wine tasting (amazing) to the time of departure.

As a venue for 80 guests we could not have asked for more; best rooms in Didsbury & an amazing garden and decking area (which has recently been refurbished to extend the breakfast hall) The staff were superb; glasses were rarely empty for more than a minute, any 'accidents' by tipsy guests were dealt with a smile, the variety and the quality of the meat on the BBQ was exactly as it had been at the tasting & the bar was kept open until the last guest called it a night (around 5 a.m.) - then the clean up and breakfast set up started ready for 8 a.m.

We had an amazing day of which the venue contributed considerably and the veranda suite is exactly the type of room you should stay in on your first night as a married couple!

Perfect day, perfect boutique hotel.

My daughter was married in Didsbury and she chose to hold her wedding reception for 80 guests at 11 Didsbury Park. My wife and I stayed at the hotel for 2 nights. The Reception was excellent, the food was well above average and the accommodation was outstanding. The staff were superb and we enjoyed a brilliant occasion. Breakfast was a delight and all individually cooked to order. I would thoroughly and unreservedly recommend this hotel as a the first place to try and stay if you are in the Manchester area.
