“Great overnight stop”

Relaxing and hassle free start or end to your holiday. Very relaxed atmosphere, although quick service for food and drink - just what you would like from an airport hotel. The staff are very efficient and happy to help. The rooms are very comfortable and clean and free wifi a bonus. Transfers to and from the airport are very well managed and quick. We have stayed several times now and in fact now stay the night before and the night of return from holidays and have just booked again for August.

Room Tip: Holiday Extras on-line are slightly cheaper than booking direct with the hotel.

The greeting upon arrival at this hotel was warm and efficient. I felt I left for my room fully informed of all I should need to know and felt the reception staff were very competent. This is a busy airport hotel and the influx of guests appeared to be constant, so it is good that they still manage to pull off not sounding robotic. I was allocated the room furthest from reception, on the very top floor at the end of the corridor of the taller block of the hotel. Right outside my door was a full floor to ceiling plate glass window overlooking the whole airport. If you suffer from a fear of heights it could be a bit off putting when you enter/leave the rooms located right at the end of the block like mine.

The rooms are fairly large. The beds are comfortable, a sofa bed was provided as well as TV , coffee/tea making facilities. Bathroom was clean and tidy with hot and cold water readily available. It really is just a bog standard airport hotel room, you could be anywhere.

What set this hotel apart and gave it some ambience was the very nice bar/restaurant area with the fire and again genuinely warm and welcoming local staff. I could think of much worse places to sit back and relax before an early flight. You can actually walk to Terminals 1 and 3 from the hotel, it takes just over 5 minutes and there are safe areas to cross the road. You can walk to Terminal 2, but that route is a little more tricky and involves going via the bus/train interchange. the hotel does however offer a courtesy bus to the terminals should you need it.

I would stay at this hotel again.

Room Tip: Higher the floor the better the view.

A reasonably priced on site airport hotel, so close to terminal 3 you could walk if you wanted to. Good car parking too.The room was really nice but the downside was the bed was very uncomfortable. Apart from that it was good. We would stay there again,
We didn't eat there, we drove to a Beefeater restaurant just over a mile away, a much cheaper option, but that was our choice, each to their won I guess.
So not mush to say really, a reasonably hotel for a reasonable price.

We've stayed here a few times now, before and after holidays. Ideally situated to the airport and a free bus shuttle taking you to whichever terminal required. Very friendly, obliging staff and the food is good value. Rooms and beds very comfortable after a long flight. We will use this hotel again for sure. Well done to you all!

I've stayed here often and always find it a good option when having early departures or late arrivals. It has what you need - comfortable rooms, good bathrooms, excellent soundproofing, quick and efficient check in. Fair enough, there is a bit of a hike to the lifts if you're in the newer wing, and you need to have had your porridge to open the bedroom doors - boy! they're HEAVY!- but it's still a really good place to stay, without any feel of being a budget hotel. There is free transport to and from the airport / rail station - another plus. There's a good brasserie and a bar with food: not what you'd call budget priced but, hey, you're on holiday!

Stayed here for one night before flying to Spain, all the hotels I stayed at in Spain were far cleaner! On sitting down in the room we were given the first thing you saw was a thick layer of dust under the bed. Going into the bathroom I dried my hands on a thin towel full of holes with a slash of pink lipstick across it. The sink also had badly chipped enamel and brown bits stuck under the rim where it joined the marble effect, I hate to think what that was!
I then took out the spare pillow from the drawer and soon put it back as it had 2 different lots of previous guests hair stuck to it!
We ate in the bar and the food was fine, they don't tell you there is a bar on reception steering you instead to the expensive restaurant. Everyone working here seems to have a permanent frown on their face so don't think it's a happy place to work!
I agree with Anidoodle about the walking distance, it is hard to find the way in to the fenced off Bewleys, we asked how to get there from a member of staff at the Hilton, a cheerful smiling man who gave us a lift in the Hilton minibus! Guess which hotel we will be staying at for our next flight? One plus the Bewley's minibus was outside on time for our early morning flight this is a 24 hour service and very good, if only the same could be said for the housekeeping.

Dear Reviewer,
Thank you for posting your feedback on Tripadvisor. The housekeeping team maintain a very high standard and I spot check rooms on a regular basis. I am sure you would agree your review it is not typical of the comments normally posted so I am sorry to see that you were so disappointed. Owing to the road works for the tram link walking to the hotel can be a bit of a challenge and on our website we recommend all our guests take full advantage of the courtesy bus service. Again thank you for posting you review and should you reconsider your decision to stay with us again we would look forward to welcoming you back.
Kind regards
Allison Diggle

Using the hotel before and after a flight is a worthwhile experience, first rate rooms, great staff and a good price, probably good for a stay if visiting Manchester. The bangers and mash are fantastic
