Very pleasant stay. Ideally situated just off M60 and only 3 miles from central Manchester. Rooms clean and comfortable. Complimentary breakfast was of an excellent standard with plenty of choice from cereals to a hot breakfast. Large free car park. Would recommend for value for money stay.

Great value but the room a little small for 3 largish adults.Word of warning, nothing to do with the hotel but the Pub restaurant next door "The Bandstand" looks lovely and is lovely but the service was none existent even tho there was only about 6 people in the place(customers) we found it almost impossible to get served once we had got our first drink,in fact the chef had to seve us as he couldnt find any barstaff. There was also a young lady wandering about who just ignored us probably as sh wasnt allowed to serve but she could have acknowleged us and tried to find someone to seve us.

Thank you for your comments. I agree that the service in the Bandstand pub is appalling and we do not really recommend this establishment to any of our guests. We do provide food at the hotel so maybe next time you stay you can choose to dine in the hotel instead. Thank you, Carl Butterworth - General Manager

It's a little bit out of Manchester but there is loads of parking. It's an ideal stop over hotel. Staff are always helpful and rooms clean.

There is a free breakfast so even better value. Don't expect luxury food it's quite basic but adequate.

I have stayed here a few times, and think its one of best value HIE around. Rooms usaul HIE and no compliants here . Staff friendly and helpfull. The Indian takeaway delivery service is great, although since they now have the own restuarant they dont promote so much ! (sorry HIE but you cant make a good curry !)
Anyway thanks for another nice stay

Stayed here with my daughter for one night, Sat 19th March. We where very happy with the cleanliness and size of room, we found the beds nice and comfortable. Breakfast was included in price and we found it plentiful and a good variety. Staff where very helpful and friendly. Would stay here again as at £66 for our stay was a very good price. Thank you

Despite a crazily complex road junction on the A57 betwen Denton and east Manchester this hotel is not difficult to find, has plenty parking (free by the way).
The standard room is adequate rather than huge but then I guess HI knows its market and prices accordingly in competition with a Premier Inn less than a mile away.

The bathroom has a unique design with a door which permits the WC to be isolated from the shower area - which thankfully is a step-in with no bath to climb into.
A decent breakfast is included in the price.
But what makes this place questionable for business travelers is the poor lighint. Bedside lighting is barely adequate for reading; there are no 'easy to get to' power sockets.

I would recommend this hotel for one or two night stays.

Thank you very much for your comments on the hotel. We use energy saving light bulbs in all of the light fittings in the bedrooms as part of the companies green and energy saving policy, but I will pass on your comments.
