“Friendly helpful staff, quiet nights sleep”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 31, 2012

I had a large, clean room on the car park side of this hotel. A quiet nights sleep was had, until the cleaning staff starting talking/shouting to each other down the corridor around 8.30am.

The breakfast in the morning, 7.99 all you can eat buffet, was great value. And £3 for a shuttle bus to the airport was convenient when travelling alone.

Good value, would recommend for a budget hotel near the airport. Interestingly people were coming into the Premier Inn Manchester airport (FT) from the hotel on the other side of the car park (Premier Inn Manchester airport) to see if they could swap. The FT is the newer hotel.

Room Tip: Rooms on the car park side are quiet. High rooms would keep you further away from smokers talking o...

We used this hotel before and after our trip to Tunisia in January 2012. The checking in was very simple, using the 'robot' in the lobby. Our room was clean, well equipped for the night's stay (both nights) and quiet, even though it is right next to the airport. On both nights we had a good sleep and enjoyed a hot bath before the next stage of our journey. The 'everything you can eat' breakfast was good, I enjoyed 2 coffees and toast and marmalade. My wife had the scrambled eggs, etc and we both agreed it was worth the £7.99 each. The evening meal we had there on our first night was also good. The taxi fare to the terminal was only £6.00, which we thought was reasonable. The staff are welcoming and friendly. If you are a smoker like me, there is a smoking area to one side of the front door with a proper bin provided. It was nice to take a no smoking room that smelled clean and fresh. All in all, a good place to stay at Manchester Airport. Finally, be aware that the roads around there are not very pedestrian friendly! We pulled our suitcases from the nearest bus stop to the hotel and it wasn't that good, especially at night!

Stayed here the night before our flight to Jamaica. Lovely hotel, large room, spotlessly clean. Great deal on evening meals in the restaurant. Breakfast looked nice but we just had the "grab and go" breakfast - toast and coffee.
Disappointed that Costa Coffee was closed but could get one from behind the bar.
Staff friendly, would stay here again when flying from Manchester.

Stayed here in November 2011 the night before our flight to the Dominican. Can't fault it at all. Hotel was good value for money, only 5 minutes in a taxi from the airport and offered a quiet relaxing good nights sleep before our long flight. We ate in the hotel restaurant in the evening and the prices were very reasonable for our hotel. Will definitely stay here again if flying from manchester

TIP: The hotel offers a airport shuttle every half hour for £3 per person. This is in a mini bus so you will probably be sharing with others and calling at other terminals. If you ask the hotel to call a taxi for you, the company they use do a fixed rate to the airport for £6. So if there are two or more of you, it's better just to get a taxi and go door to door without stopping at other terminals

This is the 2nd time we have stayed here in 12 months, first time was a £29 a night deal, which was ideal as a night before flight, despite the hotel being very busy, we were very pleasantly surprised as having had the misfortune to stay in a few "airport hotels" previously we didn't expect much, this hotel has raised the bar astronomically high, so much so that i almost didn't mind paying double to stay this time. although i think we were virtually the only guests in residence on the 2nd occasion,
in a nutshell:
good very CLEAN hotel in excellent condition filled with warm friendly and helpful staff
Restaurant is good, in fact as airport hotels go, its very good and not unreasonably priced, which is a novelty.
the only negatives are paying for car parking!!! and the fact that the coffee shop seems to close quite early, forcing poor souls like myself to seek liquid refreshment in the very pleasant bar:)
I would stay here again without hesitation when having to drive down to Manchester Airport and if i cant get a room here i'd stay at the original Premier inn just across the car park.
