I had high hopes of staying the night at Roomzzz in Manchester. I was given room 101, which on reflection should perhaps have been an omen! It was a room for a disabled guest, and not what I was expecting. That however was not my main concern, being on the first floor passing double decker bus passengers had a great view into the room. Frosted glass would be an obvious solution, pulling the blinds down was the only other option.
The room was very clean and the mini kitchen well equipped. The lighting was a bit too high tech, I spent 10 minutes trying to find the switch for the kitchen lights, which I eventually found hidden behind the Apple Computer screen.
A good night's sleep was not on the cards; the noise of traffic and partygoers outside seemed to go on all night. The bed itself was very comfortable.
Grab and Go breakfast would have been great; sadly every single croissant and pastry had been burnt.
On the whole not what I was expecting from the other rave reviews, and rather disappointing. :0(More
