I've reviewed Try Thai before but I had to do so again as the food is still so amazing. I'd rate it as the best restaurant in Manchester. By this I mean the food is consistently excellent, the staff are friendly and efficient, the decor is lovely and the prices are reasonable.

The crispy pork belly in tamarind sauce was fantastic and the starter of spicy duck salad was an explosion of flavours.

I've been to Try Thai about 30 times and it's never disappointed. Superb.

We visited on a Saturday night for a family celebration. We had booked a table and even though the place was heaving we were seated right away. The service was excellent and the food really good and tasty. Every dish was beautifully presented and the staff were helpful and cheerful. Really good value and worth a visit.

Went in here on boxing day with the family and was shocked i had never noticed this place before, its head and shoulders above everything else in china town, having never really tried Thai food it was an absolute astounding change from the normal sweet and sour and egg fried rice, really though this place was perfect... really really perfect.

This was a third visit, taking advantage of the happy 'hour'. Which, naturally enough, runs from 4 to 7pm.

Like many restaurants in Chinatown, the main eating area is accessed by stairs, so may be a challenge for those with restricted mobility. We were again greeted promptly as we entered, and service throughout was efficient and friendly. The place began to fill up at 6pm.

I follow the maxim "never eat anywhere that has pictures of meals on the menu". Rather disappointingly, Try Thai tries to get around this by having a tacky slide display on a wall-mounted TV screen. Switch it off, folks - no one's going to order on the strength of those images.

But that's the negatives over with. Food is served on oblong plates and eaten off triangular plates. Rice in covered round pots, so a great venue for geometry students... Cutlery is automatically provided, with chopsticks available on request. From the promotional menu - two courses for £12.95 - there were eight starters (two vegetarian), and eight main styles with a choice of meat or vegetarian. I particularly enjoy the stir fry with chilli and sweet basil.

Portions are very generous; I've not yet managed to eat all the rice. There are drinks promotions in the happy hour, supplemented by specials (eg half price cocktails/mocktails on Wednesdays). Good value.

Went there for lunch with friend and dinner for family the other days. Tried different dishes each time.
Found that their green flowing tea was nice to watch it blooming while you waiting your dishes to serve. The green tea with jasmine flower smell nice.

Starter
Thai style grilled pork taste great, pork meat was tender dipped the sauce which was prefect.
King prawns crispy noodles was little bit sweet.

Main
Try Thai mango crispy sea bass, the mango sour taste added special flavour on it. The fish was very crispy.
I forgot which curry i ordred, it is bit sweet.
I was really respect on the pineapple fried rice but not much pineapple flavour.
