“Worth a visit”
Reviewed May 27, 2013

Excellent place to spend a few hours on a rainy day - especially as it's free entry. We spent 3 hours there and particularly enjoyed the Egyptology exhibits. Some of the displays could have done with being better illuminated (but maybe high powered lighting would be damaging?) I also struggled with some of the small print on exhibits but overall, there was still plenty to see. There also appeared to be a lot of activities to involve children which is always a good thing

The cafeteria had a really nice menu. The food was lovely.

“Spent a couple of hours here, quite interesting.”
Reviewed May 24, 2013

We spent a nice Sunday morning in the museum. There are quite a lot of stuffed animals which was slightly overwhelming. However the mummy exhibtion was good and the skeleton of the T-Rex was very interesting.

Some of the descriptions were unreadable but we still enjoyed our visit.

“A great little place”
Reviewed May 23, 2013

This museum is not very big and dont expect to see lots of dinosaurs. However, we went during half term and there were lots of free activities for the children to enjoy and join in. Excellent place to spend a few hours. You can even bring your own picnic and eat in the purpose built picnic area. Not very big but enough to see.

“Well maintained museum with lots to see.”
Reviewed May 12, 2013

This museum has free entry, but there is a donation box. The museum was well laid out, interesting and informative.

Well worth a visit if you are in the area.

“A unique experience”
Reviewed May 11, 2013

What I liked most is that you can learn about things from different sciences: biology (zoology, botany, evolutionary biology) (+ how nature influenced art etc.), geology, astronomy, history, numismatic. It is an inter-disciplinary and multi-disciplinary museum. The Fossils Gallery is on the top of my list, followed by the Meteorites.
