“Great hotel for the MEN. Customer service could be better”
Reviewed April 3, 2013

Nice room, lovely bed (and not a twin pushed together, per many reviews, as far as I could tell).

Bit annoying on check-in that the receptionist we went to (there were three on duty) chose to answer the phone when we went to check in rather than speak to us, but we sidled along to the next lady and checked in. Had requested a high floor and a cot. Was given second floor room and had to ask for a cot.

Nice floor to ceiling window, but doesn't open at all, as others have said.

Also a tad annoying that after ordering room service to feed our toddler, there was a problem paying. Their card machine didn't work. The nice chap went to get another, which still didn't work. I asked if I could pay on check-out, but he insisted I went down to pay. I stressed I was trying to get my son fed and to bed. Finally agreed that I could go down to at later in the evening.

Put us off ordering room service later for ourselves. Especially as we fancied pizza, which was 'Chicago Town', so I am guessing frozen and then heated for £11.49!

Ordered Dominos, went down to wait for it. Man arrived it seems as I was in the lift on the way down. When reception called to say he had arrived, my partner told them I was downstairs waiting. And there I waited.... For 15mins. Eventually, the poor guy reappeared. Wouldn't be so bad, but as I was the only person in reception, did they not think to check? They had asked the chap to wait in a hidden area, so I didn't see him.

Anyway, pool was lovely.

And breakfast was lovely too. Veggie sausages available if you ask.

Got a special rate,so was pleased. Wouldn't pay full whack.

Parking added to the cost of course, but as other reviewers said, discount in NCP means £12 for 24hrs.

This is a clean and comfortable hotel. We booked it last minute for a quick break and got it for £58 per night. This is the right price for this hotel anymore and it would have been expensive.

The staff where fantastic, friendly and helpfull.

The breakfast was also very good.

The only problem we had was room noise. I think it was the heating system but it was like sleeping on a ferry. We where on the top floor so it could have been the vents on the roof but wherever it was coming from it was loud.

Conveniently located close to Manchester arena where we were to see the world famous cirque du soleil and readily accessible from the motorway network the park inn was clean, efficient and well presented, although the modern building had no real quality in design or presentation terms. Rooms comfortable and spacious without providing any feeling of being pampered. Breakfast was adequate although a bit on the cold side at the buffet. Basic, possibly overpriced for what it was and clearly leaving me satisfied but uninspired.

Convenient for Victoria Station and MEN with town centre 10 mins walk away. No parking at hotel but there's an NCP just around the corner.
Second stay here and each time experienced long queues at check-in and check-out. Key card repeatedly prevented entry to our room which meant a frustrating trip back to reception from the 6th floor every time I wanted to get into the room!
Not sure its worthy of £120 a night rate but the convenience of location, plentiful breakfast choice, reasonable bar prices and helpful staff make up for the minor niggles. Just need to speed up the desk service by ditching the lengthy customer service spiel 'do you want to contribute to our nominated charity' No. I've already been stood here for 15 mins and just want to go home please!!
Creme Eggs in room at our stay at Easter was a nice touch!

We were too late to leave and the time just got away from us.
So we looked for an en route stop in Manchester by looking on a late bookings website.
The Radisson certainly lived up to expectation and more.
The room service was excellent and overall service was wonderful.
For such a large establishment I was quietly pleased that it all worked out so well.
