We went mid-week without pre-booking and were offered a table without any fuss. It actually was a brilliant table as it was where the staff emerge from the kitchens with the meat and we got first cut off the joints. Only the ground floor was open as it was mid-week. The atmosphere was very pleasant and neither too noisy nor too quiet. There is a very nice cold table to help yourself from with salads and cold smoked salmon, prawns etc. The waiters then just keep on coming with every imaginable types of meat on barbeque squewers and carv a slice or two directly at your table. Eventually we had to say "no more" as they will continue ad infinitum. A nice touch is barbequed pinapple slices to finish. Cost was appropriate for the centre of Manchester too.
