“Fantastic experience”
Reviewed January 20, 2014

Wow, my first time in a kosher restaurant, the food ,service and quality was first class, the waiting time was minimal, the food was fresh and well cooked and served by happy and polite staff. The restaurant was clean and tidy and even had a separate take away service, all in all a fantastic experience that I would recommend to all.

“What an experience!”
Reviewed November 25, 2013

Horrible. Horrible. Horrible.
In a nutshell: Slow service, basic food, expensive, and a lack of customer service.
The wine arrived and was off... we had already had a glass before we realised this. We presented this to the proprietor who confirmed it was bad and asked us if we wanted another bottle. We declined.
However, when the bill arrived, the bottle had not been deducted. The reason give was that we had already had a glass before we complained!
Never going here again.

“A Jewish cultural experience”
Reviewed October 22, 2013

My friend and I took a group of work colleagues to the North Manchester restaurant where we introduced them to kosher cooking and kosher wine (which has been "pasteurised" so that non-Jews may serve it Orthodox Jews ). The portions were generous and most of the guests pronounced the food wholesome and delicious. The waiting staff were most obliging. Good value.

“Fantastic cultural experience”
Reviewed October 19, 2013

Shared meal with large group of work colleagues. Had never been to a Kosher restaurant before and was pleasantly surprised by the variety of dishes on the menu. As a (non-Jewish) vegetarian I was expecting little choice but was offered a special vegetarian chasseur-type dish with rice, which was lovely. The female waiting staff are a bit like school dinner ladies- quite bossy but in a nice way! The ambience is a bit lacking and the lighting bright and stark, but the diners make the atmosphere and it was buzzing mid-week with people of all ages. I was fortunate to have regular JS Diners with me so was not intimidated by the novelty of the experience but I would think anybody would be made welcome here. The nut sundae was lovely. The portions are HUGE though, so do not expect a 'nouvelle ' meal.
