“Goo food, great staff”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 1, 2013

My husband and I booked a table here shortly after watching a movie nearby. The staff who took the booking, seated us and then served us were all friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. The food couldn't be faulted. Excellent value. Recommended

“Excellent food and Ambience”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 27, 2013

I went with friends to Linen and found the food to be first rate. The quality was on par with some Michelin establishments I have eaten in. The ambience was nice and you wouldn't know it was in a casino as it is well away from the gaming floor.

The service is a little lacking and we felt we had been left for periods without any attention but the staff were very friendly and all told it was a very good meal and I would recommend the restaurant!

“Chance find”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 26, 2013

Myself and a friend found Linen by chance. We decided to try it out we went early on a Saturday about 5 30. It was nearly empty. We got the early bird menu. Food was fabulous. Service great (but there was only about ten people in) the staff were very friendly. They told us about James Martin taking over in September and were excited about the changes. We had a three course meal with wine for £64 pounds we thought it good value for the food we had. Not sure if it would be ask good later in the evening for us, but others may like the buzz of the casino and having a meal. The surroundings are fantastic. Lets see what James Martin does to i

“Not as good as some reviewers seem to think”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 14, 2013

We managed to book this at the last minute and did wonder why there was availability after trying several of our favourite city centre restaurants which were all fully booked.

The Restaurant was only half full at 8:00pm on a Saturday night and the food was only average despite many reviews saying otherwise. The staff were friendly and eager to please but did not have the same professionalism as some of the other top restaurants in Manchester.

Not a bad experience but not the top quality we expected based on the reviews we had seen..

“Good but could have been better”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 8, 2013

Lovely looking restaurant with the wow factor. You have to walk through the casino but so what, it didn't bother any of us and the casino noise level was quiet, but it was a Monday evening. the t bone steaks where excellent as was the 3 bird roast. the lamb course could have had a couple more lamb cutlets and more veg, the side orders definitely do not feed two as the waitress said. The desserts were faultless but the service was crap and the desserts took an age to come out. Glad we used the tastecard as It definitely would not have been worth the £230.
