I often come here when in Manchester, however I note that the new signage outside states 'Ali Faisal's' for some reason! Nevertheless, it's the same staff and owner and the same good, Homestyle Asian food as always.
There are a selection of curries and naan breads e.t.c and the decor is basic, functional and unpretentious. It's a great place to visit for a snack when in town and I can't recommend it enough.
Plus, I like that fact that like 99% of other venues, they don't inexplicably masquerade as an 'Indian' and are proud to refer to themselves as a 'Pakistani restaurant'.
I put an average for service and atmosphere as you take your own plate to the table and get your own knife and fork. If you want 'service' and not authentic, cheap food in a basic setting then you need to go elsewhere! But yes, the staff are polite enough!
