We have stayed many times now in Abode in Manchester and also in Glasgow.
We have always been extremely impressed and they have done us proud with a large comfortable room and superb massive Emperor bed. We like everything at Abode Manchester and the cafe restaurant serves up absolutely delicious and innovative food - loved my oxtail suet pudding this time, absolutely delicious. Portions are hearty. Good wine list. We have yet to try the downstairs Michael Caines restaurant but we hear it is also very good. One slight disappointment - the cocktails are not cheap and very average.
For the first time, we found ourselves in a small room - 211. The secret here in Manchester is to ask for a corner room. We forgot and though they realised we are quite regular they still gave us a comparatively modest room, this was disappointing. Wi fi always is excellent in Abode but not this time and until we complained, the wi fi kept cutting out. They seemed to be trying out a different system to the usual facility. It was back to normal after we grumbled. Not quite so sure why.
Would still strongly recommend Abode Manchester - excellent value - and no doubt we shall return soon.More
