Visited Chaophraya for the first time and was not disappointed. We arrived on time and were shown straight to our table which was upstairs a couple of tables away from the open kitchen. I had the scallops and black pudding not very Thai but very tasty although the scallops could have been a bit warmer, my wife had the chicken satay which brought back memories our holidays in Thailand and Bali, it was delicious. For the mains my wife had the weeping tiger which was excellent and I had the chicken pad Thai which was also very good. The portions were generous and we both struggled to finish our meals. The staff were attentive at all times and very friendly. Despite some of the comments we didn't find it too expensive just good value for money. The only criticisms are that the upstairs area is not very intimate and we were sat on top of people which is not what you would expect from a top class restaurant and charging £3.75 for a bottle of water. All in all though it was very enjoyable and we'll definitely be eating there again soon.
