We visited in October on a cold but bright day. The garden is divided into 'rooms' with different planting in each, very attractive. I'm sure we didn't see it at its best due to the time of year, but it was still certainly worth a visit.

Extensive gardens, lovely to stroll around whatever the season as always something interesting to look at. Scrumptious food in the cafe, as usual for the National Trust.

And I can only imagine how much more gorgeous would the gardens be in the Spring or Summer, when much more in bloom. There were some Dahlias in bloom and this was my first introduction to those small burgundy-brownish flowers that smell like chocolate.

Excellent gardens to stroll around. Despite wet weather not too muddy. Dogs turned away even if on a lead which is great.
