We spent three nights at the Noel Arms giving us a very much needed break from home.
All the staff were helpful and friendly and the hotel had a very welcoming atmosphere which was supported by local people dropping in for drinks and meeting children after school.
Our room was spotlessly clean and the decor most attractive.
The dining room was pleasant too - the tables were nicely spaced apart - everything was clean and nothing was too much trouble.
We would certainly like to go again and would recommend it to others.
One complaint - delicious cakes but not my favourite while we were there- no coffee and walnut! Perhaps next time.

Room Tip: Our room overlooking the conservatory was very quiet.

A real crown within Olde England !
All members of staff pleasant and cheerful, room perfectly adequate clean, warm with some nice touches, food both evening meal and breakfast tasty hot and reasonably priced. Wish it was local to me as I would be a very regular customer. The management should take pride and congratulate the staff for the representation they give their business. Will definitely stay again.

Friendly welcome. Upgraded to classic double without asking which was nice bonus. Room clean, cosy and comfortable, we wished we had gone for kingsize bed as that's what we have at home. Food was excellent. We had the chefs award winning curry yummy. Fab breakfast. The negative, dining tables were marked and looked dirty and food stains/drip marks on the walls next to dining tables. You must go to Fankie Doodle a lovely gift shop opposite hotel, amazing and inspiring lady. We will come back, Dexter our boxer dog loved it to.

Room Tip: Rear of hotel quieter, close to exit which is useful if you have a dog that needs to go out!

We stayed here for 3 nights last weekend and really enjoyed the stay. Staff were welcoming and took us up to our room.

Creaky floors and you could hear the next room when they were in the bathroom but with such an old building that is to be expected.

Ate in the bar twice in the evenings and the food was great! Very friendly bar manager.
Will return soon I hope.

The bed was a lovely and soft four poster, very comfy with heavy curtains so got a good nights sleep.

Room Tip: Room 4 is above the bar.

Excellent public rooms and conservatory but the bedrooms are a little dated and tired. Food was superb, both dinner and breakfast. Ample free parking right outside courtyard rooms which are recommended for quietness. At £75 per night for a double it represents excellent value.

We stayed at the Noel Arms on Wednesday 6th March for one night, from the time we checked in to the time we checked out the staff were friendly and attentive. Our room was delightful, huge bed, very cosy yet spacious & a lovely warm bathroom. We ate in the bar area on Wednesday evening and the food was delicious and service good. Breakfast was done to order (non of this buffet style stuff) so eggs were cooked 'as you like them', we both agreed that it was one of the best. I spent Thursday browsing Chipping Camden and even though the weather was dismal the place itself was warm and welcoming, this being down to the people themselves. I plan to spend a week there in the 'summer' (if we get one) with my little dog and will make the Noel Arms my local!

Room Tip: Room 8 was lovely, huge bed although it did have a 'zip' in the middle but it was so big you...

Chef has won pub chef of the year competition ( curry ) for the last three years....BUT surely it is a hotel, not a pub ( although it does have a pub within its remit) ? Really good staff, quirky building and smashing village, so all the right ingredients then ?

Actually no, too expensive roomwise and price wise for what it serves up.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, we do have a pub and a restaurant and are delighted that we have won so many awards (chef of the year 2011, 2012, 2013) the awards are from the whole of the UK not just our region, it is obviously a shame that you found it a little expensive, do keep an eye on our website for special offers that might be in line with your budget
