“Good hotel in good location”
Reviewed June 26, 2011

My wife and I stayed here for three nights - June 23rd to 26th - and had a pleasant stay. Good breakfasts - limited range but very tasty - each morning. Room (no. 19) a bit chintzy but good. Nice enough bar. We didn't have lunch or dinner here so can't comment on them. Useful info from reception about local walks. If you want to spend a quiet weekend in the town, this is a good place for it!

Stayed here with the family for three nights in June. Great location right on High Street. Comfortable rooms with huge bathrooms. Happening pub and a good restaurant. Delicious lamb curry. Terrific breakfast. Recommended.

Have just spent two very enjoyable nights at the Noel Arms Hotel. We choose this hotel primarily because it is a dog friendly one and it appeared to meet our needs on paper. Well it lived up to our expectations. We had a room in the courtyard which was ideal for us with the dog and would book it again, however it was a tad noisy as you can hear traffic and conversations that are right outside the room. Food was lovely and nicely served. We had a slight hic-up with housekeeping but it was easily and professionally resolved. The hotel has produced an excellent leaflet with three easy to follow walks which was excellent. We did all three during our stay and I would recomend that you try at least one of them if you go there.

My daughter and i decided to stay in Chipping at the last moment . We found the staff at the Noel to be very helpfull and friendly. the food was very good and so was the breakfast. the rooms were a little old in style but very quaint. We hav since stayed at another hotel but have said next time we visit chipping for a night we will stay at the Noel.

My partner and I stayed at the Noel Hotel the night before our wedding. We were joined by my parents who were staying for 2 nights accompanied by the dog, a large german shepherd.

We had 2 cottage rooms next to each other rooms 28/29. The rooms were lovely, 29 (my parents rooms was the larger of the two. You enter into a hall area which is seperated by a door to the bedroom and this room benefits from a very large bathroom with a gorgeous free standing bath. Room 28 was our room, it was slightly smaller. On entrance to the room you step down a couple of steps straight into the bedroom. The bathroom was a good size with a decent sized bath and very pwerful shower.

Dinner was booked in the conservatory as dogs were welcome. However, we all including the dog started with a drink in the bar. Though not constantly manned, the bar staff were quick to help and the local ales were good (so I was told!)

Dinner was fanastic and the restaurant staff were lovely and very attentive.
In the morning, breakfast was served in the restaurant/conservatory and the staff were again very attentive and service was excellent.

The hotel also has a very nice coffee shop which provides some wonderful cakes.

While a lovely decorated room, at night the bedroom did get very hot (considering it was february) to the point where we had to turn on the large fan situated at the end of our bed for some cool air and open the window.

Other than this though our stay was very pleasent indeed.

My parents stayed on for an extra night and very much enjoyed their stay. The location was great for them especially as just out the back of the hotel were lovely walks in which they could take the dog.

Overall we felt the hotel had a lovely atmosphere - with the sister hotel across the road, you benefited from being able to use their spa facilities which is great if your planning on a longer stay. The price of the rooms were very reasonable so all in all we felt it was great value for money in a lovely setting.

We enjoyed our recent stay at The Noel Arms. We had booked a very good deal which included bed, breakfast & dinner with a bottle of wine. Dinner was home cooked style and the breakfast was good quality, if a little small. Our room was
comfortable, in the back of the hotel, with some limited countryside views. Mattress on bed felt a little lumpy athough it was of good size and the pillows were only middle range quality. As previously mentioned in a review we could also
hear next door guests through the walls, which was a little annoying! Not much selection on the 'Tea' tray in the room either. No biscuits!!! Chipping Camden and the surrounding area are lovely. Pretty countryside and villages to stop off at. We had glorious sunny weather which was ideal for driving around in a classic car with the hood down!
