“Great Staff - Hotel in need of a spruce up”
Reviewed November 4, 2012

I use this Premier Inn a fair bit as work takes me to Doncaster quite regularly. Staff are excellent always helpful and friendly...downside is hotel is looking tired in places and needs a "make over" to refresh also prices can vary quite sharpley from one night to another I have paid from £65 to £82 for a weekday night when their appears no events on like football or racing which is strange - breakfast in beefeater attached is good main meals can be hit or miss Always ask for top floor rooms not the hotels fault but when I have stayed on couple of ocassions on lower floors noise from above has been bad might just be unlucky with who is above but think it may be an insulation problem

Room Tip: top floor rooms to avoid noise from above

After a 350 mile day of driving I needed a good nights rest and that's just what I got. Check in was smooth and 'painless' allowing me to relax before meeting family in the attached Beefeater pub for a meal and a couple of pints.

I have to make a point of saying how great and personable the service was and a special mention to Dani who looked after us with a smile.

The room was quiet overnight with the usual comfortable bed and scarily efficient black out curtains. My only criticism (as ever) is having to pay for wifi, come on Premier Inn it's time to follow Best Western hotels and offer free wifi for all guests!!

Did an overnight here. Staff were very friendly as usual for a PI, no problems there and they had been told that I was arriving very late. The room however was a bit dated for a PI and needed a refurb and was not up to the standard I have come to expect from a PI, bathroom was old and a bit grimy, and the room was just a bit tired. Breakfast was also not up to scratch for a PI. I wouldn't stay at this one again until its been updated.

we recently had to travel up to doncaster from cornwall on the spur of the moment an spotted this premier inn straight away as we came off road, very welcoming, spotlessly clean, enormous comfy rooms staff were great, an it has a beefeater adjacent to it that was fantastic as didnt want to be traveling around looking for food, also a mc donalds opposite and you are right in the hubb of lakeside shopping center, awesome

Room Tip: i just asked for a quiet room an wasnt dissapointed but to be truthfull its in a quiet area so would...

Spent one night here on a business it was perfectly adequate room was clean n comfortable. the bathroom could have done with a bit of a spruce up, tile grout a bit grotty n floor well worn but was still clean. the beefeater next door was as all other beefeaters good enough. nice to be close to some shops broke up a long evening in a hotel room and got a start on the xmas shopping!

Great location if you are looking for a bit of retail therapy during your stay, as the hotel is right next to a small outlet village type retail park. I found myself walking around and spending on trousers, shirts and shoes. The hotel was the normal Premier Inn standard, clean, comfortable with a large bed. There was a 22" digital television and tea/coffee facilities in the room. The bathroom has a shower over the bath, with a towel warmer above the toilet.
I found the staff to be really warm and welcoming, and the bar/restaurant, next door, was accessible through the reception area.
