Just got back from a stag weekend in Donny, staying at the regent. Great weekend, hotel was excellent, staff friendly and helpful and lovely food - especially the breakfast. Great value for money and can't rate this place highly enough. Only 15 min walk from the racecourse and 5 mins from bars etc. great weekend had by all.

What an amazing night at the Regent - on arrival the staff made me feel at home and the decor of bar, reception and dining room is fantasatic.
My room was spacious with a very comfortable everything I needed for my night at The Regent.
I ate in the Regent's newly decorated dining room and loved all the round tables and chandeliers. The food was served by proffional well trained staff and nothing was too much trouble. The food itself was extremely good and very plentiful and my fish course was amazing, looking forward to having that one again!
Simon made sure everyone had a special night to remember and I am so looking forward to my next visit.

Excellent hotel in the heart of Doncaster. The staff are very friendly, helpful and welcoming.
The rooms are spacious and in good state of decor. The food is good and very plentiful.
Just a short walk into town to find a great array of shops. this hotel would be a must if going to the races.
Only 1 very small complaint,,,,,,,,,,, if a room is facing the rear of the hotel there is noise first thing in the morning from bottles being emptied into waste bins,,,,,,,,,,,, also the churcg clock starts chiming at 8am, which is not good if you need a lay in.

Room Tip: Dont have a room on the ground floor,,,,,,,,,,,, avoid rooms 3 and 4 as these are in a through corri...

I stayed here to go to Doncaster Racecourse and was really pleased with the anbience, food and service. The bedroom was spacious and newly decorated and the staff could have not been more helpful. In fact, as there was going to be a wait for a taxi to the racecourse I was driven there by Simon in his car. That's what I call service! I ate in the restaurant in the evening and all the food was freshly prepared and came from local suppliers. Definately an asset to Doncaster.

We looked at several venues in Doncaster for my daughters 18th birthday and eventually we found this absolute gem of a hotel. The staff (in particular Stuart) were outstanding..........everything we asked was met with a smile and nothing was too much trouble. We also booked several rooms which were great and the food was spot on. The overall cost was reasonable and we could not recommend The Regent enough.

I stayed at the hotel last weekend. Staff very nice and friendly, room large, furniture modern, very clean.Bathroom very dated cracked tiles.
Big NO NO: I am very well travelled and stay in hotels up and down the country on a regular basis, imagine my disappointment when I went to get a shower on the second morning of a two night stay. The person cleaning the room had put the dirty towels back up on the heated towel rail for us to use again. I had left the towels on the floor ready for clean ones for the following day.
The previous morning I had trouble with adjusting the heat on the shower and my husband came to assist me with it. He had his shoes on and with the spray of the water it left a black foot mark on the towel, yes you guessed it we were given the towel back again.
This is poor house keeping and a very big mistake. When guests are on holiday they want nice clean towels and this should be a given. I have stayed in two star to five star hotels and I have never come across this before. Put a damper on a good weekend and put me off staying again For £80 a night I expected more.
