Loved staying here stayed here a few times over the years and always had a very friendly welcome plus they let me bring my 3 little dogs who also love it here too. Perfect for being able to let them run about. The food is also soo good great cook. Would definitely be more then happy to stay again if I was ever in the area. Highly recommended for all aspects cant thank you all enough for such a warm welcome and stay. I certainly don't have any complaints. All the staff are great very helpful.

Stayed on mad Friday to avoid the high taxi return.

Room was clean, everything required for a budget hotel.

Tom was present in reception and went over and above to assist with ordering a taxi and assisting at the bar.

Recommended.

We stayed here for the first time because the Premier Inn and Travelodge decided to be fully booked. We paid 47 pounds for room and breakfast. After reading reviews on here I was dreading it. But, we found the room was really clean and enough for a night in a cheap hotel. I was expecting spider infested curtains and filth but the room is perfectly adequate for a nights stay. I have a couple of gripes, The pillows as advertised on their website compared to what you get leaves a little to be desired and we booked two rooms, mine had a single flat pillow each, my son got two each. We went to the Asda over the road and bought some.

The socket other than powering the TV is hidden behind a curtain and there is only one, you need to take an adaptor for multiple devices.

Other than that it was no where near as bad as I've read on here.

The breakfast in the morning put the Premier Inn to shame, it was fantastic. W had the full English and took advantage of the continental as well. Really good value and cooked in a kitchen where you could see it being done.

We're in Doncaster every three weeks and usually stay at the Premier Inn, If you want a room of that standard stay there, if you want value for money and fantastic food with a lesser room stay here.

Dear ajmcnally2018,

Thank you for choosing our hotel and for your balanced review. I am pleased you enjoyed your stay and found our rooms to be comfortable. What we try to offer here is a clean, tidy and comfortable room at an affordable price. Our rooms are small but adequately appointed with each and every room being en-suite. We aim on event days like the Races to be the cheapest hotel in the area – so you can always be assured of a great value stay when you stay with us!

I do apologise about the pillows. There should always be two per person in every room. As part of our refresh and redecorate we are replacing our pillows.

Thank you for your comments regarding our Breakfast, it is something we are very proud of. For the price paid you get access to our all-you-can-eat Continental Buffet as well as a plated Full English which is cooked fresh to your liking, all washed down with unlimited drinks from our juice and bean to cup coffee machines. We also don’t believe in any hot holding or precooking of our Breakfasts, so you can always be ensured your Breakfast is fresh and made just for you!

We do hope you would choose to stay with us again in the future.

Had an event next day at The Dome and for the money you can't fault it.
Yes the walls are thin but for £40, a comfy bed, very clean, friendly staff and tea and coffee in the room with free parking.
A winner in my book. Certainly don't have your honeymoon there but for an overnight business trip. Thumbs up.

Butlins chalet style of accommodation, noise from both sides, above and behind, especially bad at 3am, Mattress and cover stained, underside was even worse, very dated and run down, cleaners use Asda shopping trolleys to cart about the bedding.

We had booked in for two nights but left after one and moved to another hotel, The Campanile staff were friendly and breakfast was fine but after the horrors of one night in that room we will never return.

Room tip: Anywhere but here.

Dear John B,

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We are sorry to hear that we did not meet your expectations. Although our property is old, having opened in the early 90’s, it is something we are currently rectifying. We have ongoing work to redecorate and refresh all of our rooms which includes replacing or repairing the older fixtures. This also includes retiling the bathrooms and replacing any items that are past their best.

I am sorry your sleep was disturbed by other guests. We take effort to ensure noise is kept to a minimum with offending guests being dealt with swiftly. After our Reception closes at 11pm there is dedicated member staff on the premises to assist with guest concerns including noise complaints, the number for which is located on the informational tent card on the desk. We would have been more than happy to assist you and to reduce the noise.

Please don’t let one negative experience cloud your judgement of us. We have a high level of customer satisfaction with a strong base of repeat custom. Should you return to Doncaster we would welcome the opportunity to show you what a stay with us is really like. Just contact us direct on 01302 370 770 or at deputy.manager.doncaster@campanile.com to arrange this.
