The food is expensive and not very good!
Service good, Crystal and Blake Carrington wouldn't look out of place, it is very clean and the location is good, it may have been the Mothers Day Menu that was poor but i wouldn't risk it again!

Dear Carl R

Thank you taking the time to post your review of your experience from nearly a year ago.

It is a pity that you make such assumptions with regard to other customers.

Obviously it is very difficult to make any judgement with regard to your comments as they are so long ago and I am sorry that you felt the risk of our Mothers Day menu was not to your specific taste.

We have enjoyed a lovely weekend in this hotel courtesy of Tesco vouchers.
The room was spacious, clean and comfortable with an enormous en suite bathroom and lounge area.
The staff were, without exception, welcoming and attentive.
We ate in both the restaurant and bar, meals extremely tasty in very pleasant surroundings.
Lovely little private lounge areas for relaxing in.
Very good breakfast with plenty of choice.

Set in landscaped gardens, down a small drive, sits this hotel. There's ample parking and it's situation just off the Great North Road makes it ideal for a visit/business in Doncaster (about 6 miles from the hotel but in essence a straight road). The hotel is large and welcoming. The decor is very 80's - think "Miss Ashley" (as in Laura) chintz, deep pile carpets, Artex on the wall, exposed beams etc but above all it's not shabby, it's clean, comfortable and spacious. The staff are warm, friendly and very helpful. My room (158) was a short walk away from reception but the windows faced a quiet cul-de-sac so was very peaceful. My room was large, exceptionally clean with a brand new bathroom with great shower (separate) and huge bath. An ample supply of bath gel, shampoo, vanity kits, shoe mitts etc were on hand. The bed was vast and if you could be bothered you could contact Reception for a wide choice of pillows (in addition to the ones on the bed) to suit your particular choice. The room was complete with large desk, tea/coffee making facilities, large TV, iPod/MP3 docking station. Room service was efficient (both for dinner and breakfast) but a little pricey. I think the hotel is heavily used for weddings but for me was great for business and I suspect would make a great get away for relaxation/leisure. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Room 158 was very large, quiet and peaceful. A small walk away from reception.

Stayed overnight on a romantic break deal, 9th Feb. Room was a junior suite, luxurious and spacious with champagne on ice and chocolates waiting. Evening meal was fab, we really enjoyed it, no faults at all. Breakfast had a decent choice and our option was delicious. Overall a lovely stay and we will definately return.

We stayed in the thermal spa room, it is relatively new, and incredibly impressive. There is a glass bath, a glass bed, and a large sauna in the bathroom too. The room is huge with a stunningly comfy sofa and a large LCD telly on the wall. The speaker system is also impressive with iPod / iPhone interface that plays music in the bathroom too. You do need to be confident with the kit as it is a little hard to operate , some basic instructions will be needed by the less technically minded. The only criticism in the room is that you can't fill the kettle from the sink taps due to their design. I used the bah tap which was a little awkward. You could always fill a couple of glasses up from the drinks cooler in the bath room and do it that way. But when all said and done the room is spectacular and worth it's £240 per night price tag.
The restaurant down stairs is also exceptionally good, and worth a visit if you don't want to drive to Bawtry or Doncaster for food. The former incidentally has some excellent eateries.

After a long week at work, I took a night stay with friends at the Best Western Premier Mount Pleasant Hotel and was not disappointed.
The hotel was easy to find and after an efficient check-in we found our luxurious room on the second floor, not only did we get a suite with sitting area and luxury bathroom, my friend's got the apartment complete with lounge, dvd player and wii!
We took advantage of the vast menu in the bar and enjoyed the extensive cocktail list!
After a lovely breakfast, I enjoyed a relaxing hot stone massage with Beth who couldn't have been more friendly and welcoming.
Cannot wait to go back!

We stayed for three nights, enticed by the beautiful pictures on the web-site. Whilst the public areas looked the part albeit slightly tired we were slightly disappointed by the standards found in our executive room and more so by the attitude of some of the staff.

Firstly the room. As soon as we walked in the first thing we noticed was a large cobweb hanging from the lampshade. The room was big enough with quite a comfortable sofa and armchair as well as a huge comfortable bed.

However it was the large bathroom that let the room down. The cold tap on the bath was loose and swiveled when we used it. The bath panel was set into some tiling but left some big ugly gaps. A few pence worth of sealant would have made for a quality job. Similarly with a base cover on the shower. It butted up to some tiles which had a raised feature. Rather than shape the cover to fit it was just left touching, leaving a huge gap which, again could have been easily disguised with some sealant to give the appearance of a quality finish. There was also paint flaking from the ceiling in the shower area, not to mention a jet of water that came out sideways from the shower head and rusty looking on the bottom of the outside of the shower.

All in all, not a quality finish but bear in mind 4* refers to the availability of facilities not the standard of those facilities.

On to the staff. We found the more 'junior' level of staff to be both helpful and friendly but the next level was unsatisfactory. When we arrived down for breakfast we were 'greeted' by Sue, Breakfast Supervisor, (I think her badge said). She was clearly stressed and muttered about how everyone was turning up at the same time. Not strictly true I think but in any case a guest doesn't want to hear about her problems. She unceremoniously pointed us towards a table towards the end of the room and we made our way. We noticed that younger members of staff were greeting people and showing them directly to their tables. Eventually Sue came to take our order. My wife, who is uber-polite asked for the Full English without.....at which point Sue interjected and said "just tell me what you do want". We noticed she was just as bad on the Sunday although, thankfully, we weren't on her tables. Monday morning we were down to an empty breakfast room and Sue was actually smiling and was pleasant. Thus it wasn't her personality rather that she had been stressed but, whatever the reason, she was very un-professional.

Another example of poor customer relations manifested itself when we return to the hotel a few times after going out. The receptionists would look up to see who was coming through the doors and immediately look down again or carry on talking to each other. A polite "Good evening" or even "Have you had a good day out" wouldn't have gone amiss.
