We stayed here while visiting friends and what an absolute gem!
On arriving quite late we received a warm welcome from Liz and were delighted with our cottage.
Our room had a mezzanine floor for the bedroom with very comfy bed and ensuite with decent shower.
These are newly converted farm buildings which have been built to an excellent standard on a working arable farm on top of a hill. There are lovely views and excellent opportunities for walks to local pubs, lakes for bird watching and we found a ruin of an abbey nearby too!
Bring your walking boots and work up an appetite then cook yourselves or wander alongside the gravel lakes and river Idle enroute to the pub and eat there, we did both.
If you forget your book then there are some to borrow and board games and also a FULL size snooker table , ping pong and table football.
A truly great place to stay, its like having your own private hill to live on! We will return!
