Great to take the kids for a couple of hrs. On the downside the parking is expensive for somewhere like this

A landscaped former colliery site that nature is reclaiming. Plenty of walks and things to see and do, all at a leisurely pace. As with many similar places the experience depends very much on the weather, but overall a good visit so long as you like walking.

Just spent a lovely afternoon at the country park. It's the first time we've been but we all really enjoyed it apart from....
The parking - it was EXTREMELY busy being a bank holiday but there were virtually empty parts on the car park but no signage to show you how to get to them! It was very frustrating and complete chaos!
Also we took a picnic, and there were lots of picnic tables but no bins. We took out rubbish home but some kind person shoved their chip wrapper under our car!
The miniature train is fab! Our two young children loved it!

Plenty of open spaces.take a picnic or enjoy the food at the cafe, all freshly made.
Take a fishing net and bucket for the children as there is a large pond ideal for pond dipping.
There is a small playground with a zip wire also a large area with zip wires for older chidren.
Well worth a visit

Baggeridge country park is somewhere I visit on a regular basis. There is plenty for the whole family to do: an adventure park, a large field for games, mini railway, a pool for net fishing. There are also other activities that you can do that you have to pay for such as the zip wire and at the moment there are: mini trampolines, a bouncy castle, mini golf, tea cup ride and little boats ( like bumper cars ).
It is advisable to take a picnic as your visit could turn out to be pricey if you have to pay for lunch at the cafe and then ice creams.
We as a family enjoy going there and also doing the walk from Baggeridge to Himley Hall.
