Owner description: See the network of underground canal routes that helped form the industrial Black Country and marvel at the fantastic Limestone Caverns. Enjoy a canalside walk or relaxing boat trip, and admire the local history. See if you can spot any of the limestone fossils remaining from when the area was below sea, and explore the Dudley Tunnel - don't be startled by the bats!

This was a great experience with loads of information on the history of the area. There are a few trips you can choose from 45mins which is £5.90 a 2 hour boat ride or a longer one than that cant remember how long though but they have a website which will tell you. We did the 45 min one. The skipper Archie was a great guide who explained everything when we were going through the tunnels, there was a video in one of the caves that told you more about the history also. You get an experience of what life was like for the people working in those conditions. it was a great experience but if your claustrophobic probably not for you as some of the tunnels are very narrow :-)

This charity have been operating trips into the tunnels, caves and mines under Dudley since 1967! their work ensures more people can experience what life was like working far below, in some pretty awful conditions. They have recently reopened more tunnels. Some of the mined caverns are bigger than St. Paul's Cathedral, and they even offer the caverns as a wedding venue. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and present the information in a fun and relaxed manner that our 4 year found interesting. He said: "i liked it so much"

I thought the pricing was very reasonable even before we took the trip, but the five of us, from Grandpa down to Grandson, all thoroughly enjoyed it! The tunnels are fascinating, the displays interesting and surprising, and the trip itself peaceful. I was awed by the sheer amount of manpower that would have been needed to dig out the tunnels, but wait til you get to the cavern!

The boat captain was great, very amusing and it's well scripted. I'd go again, it was very worthwhile.

The guide on the canal was very knowledgable and it was interesting to see inside the different types of tunnels. Our 12 year old son had a go at 'legging' the boat through the tunnel which he enjoyed. Well worth a visit if you are visiting the Black Country museum or in the area.

The drivers of the boat were funny and well informed. Though not many people turned up due to the weather the driver was not disheartened and put on a talk fro those there no different as I would assume he does for larger crowds. The boat trip was great value for money especially as it wasn't a quick journey and it is all charity run.
