Found this place by chance whilst on a one-nighter in Lancaster and stayed there for much of the evening.

Some of the best - and best kept - beers I have ever had.

The food was fantastic - we had a classic burger with hand-cut chips and salad - talk about a belly-buster!

Will go back again some time.

Highly recommended.

Used a voucher to visit the Three Mariners for a meal for the first time. I am glad we did as it is a place we would not have thought about eating at normally. The food was good value, well presented and tasty. The beer was good and the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. A short play was held in the far end of the pub which slightly restricted options for seating and eating but I was impressed and will definitly head that way again sometime despite not being in the city centre

Found this little pub by accident on our first of 2 visits to the city in our weeks holiday. We had a snack on the first visit and it was absolutley fabulous. Very tasty and the hand cut chips are the best i have ever tasted. second time we were stuck in a traffic jam so decided to pull out of the traffic and go for a meal. It was absolutley delicious and the people were so friendly. My only complaint was not enough dessert choices.

This is a cosy, traditional pub with a nice interior, great selection of real ales and a nice atmosphere. There is a good mix of ages and a friendly feeling to the place. Best kept beer I have come across in Lancaster.

Very friendly and relaxed. Really old and original pub, but not full of fake olde-worlde tourism. Good bar food with lots of northern home cooking.
Bit of music, jam sessions happening. Local characters propping up the bar. A proper local.
