Had a meal on Friday with a couple of friends.......beautiful restaurant..........service second to none and the food brilliant. If I have any complaint it would be the chop house sauce could do with a bit more chilli and the room upstairs a little cool. Will definitely be returning.

I have eaten here before when I had a really good Sunday roast upstairs. This time we went in for Saturday lunch. We were told that only coffee bar lunch menu available. Very limited menu of toasted paninis, soup and chips. Paninis= ok, soup= ok, chips= all oil no potato. Expensive snack=£30+ for 4 plus drinks. Service was a bit lacking- tables cleaned whilst you sat at table.
Shame cost previous visit was good.

I visited this restaurant with 3 friends for the early menu deal of 2 courses for £15 provided your order is taken before 6pm. There is a set menu with a small selection of starters mains and deserts.
This restaurant was Lancaster's Masonic lodge for many years, and some of the photographs and insignia have been preserved in this tastefully decorated restaurant. The table was nicely laid with traditional linen napkins etc.
We were all impressed with the quality and presentation of our chosen meals and agreed everything was delicious and above our expectations. Steaks were cooked as requested and we all felt there was no skimping on portion size. Great chips and the sticky toffee pudding was really good,
Service was very good and the staff were very pleasant but as it was quiet I felt the waiting staff were hanging around a bit.
I shall certainly be returning to try the full menu and although the early menu was not as cheap as other restaurants in Lancaster it was certainly well worth the money.
