No draft beer today, gents toilet CLOSED, dirty table, food tasted like 'out of date ICELAND grub'. We were very disappointed and would never dream of sending anyone here. There were about six people having lunch yet the three staff preferred to chat with each other whislt they picked at their nails. AVOID.

We visited our daughter at Lancaster University, before dropping he off when heading home we decided to go to the brewers fayre for a meal. We arrived at 6pm, were seated straight away as a party of 6. After ordering, the food arrived pretty quickly and was enjoyed by everybody with the kids plates been cleared. The pictured meal is my daughters chicken bacon and waffles, she enjoyed this and ate all despite saying that it was quite heavy.

My husband and I decided to try this restaurant, what a mistake. He ordered mushrooms on toast as a starter,is was a mushy paste with a couple of bits of mushroom on 2 pieces of soggy toast. After 40 minutes our main course came.Mine was chicken and bacon Caesar salad, the bacon was raw,the checken was barely warm and the croutons were too hard to eat.My husbands mixed grill was inedible,I did not think it was possible to mess up frozen chips and frozen peas but even they were terrible, the onion rings were floppy and the meat too tough to eat.All the meats went into a napkin to take home for the dogs. They do not employ a chef not even a cook with basic skill or they would not turn out such rubbish. We left as there was no one around who appeared interested.
