Five of us enjoyed a birthday celebration with very good food, excellent service and at a very reasonable price. What more is there to say?

Absolutely charming little place. Very cool aesthetic with the converted cellars look. Almost looks like a hobbit hole from out front. Nice staff and decent prices, lovely place to stop on your way to/from the castle or priory.

What a superb little venue. Tucked away near Lancaster castle, this gorgeous bar lets you enjoy your beers and wine in the cellars. Plenty of choice. I didn't have time to indulge in a pie (a bargain at £4 each) - when I saw them served up they looked delicious; I will definitely pop in to try one next time I'm in the area. There's a garden too.

Don't miss a visit to this little gem. It sits underneath the road and buildings across the road from the castle and has the look of an old wine cellar with arched ceilings in different areas. food menu is decent and service is fine. One of the nicer and more unusual pubs in the city.
