We have visited three times recently and the first and second time were very good. The first time we sat outside and had fish and chips and scampi and chips, both of which were excellent and huge portions for a good price. My only criticism would be that I found a fish bone which put me off slightly. The second recent visit was fantastic. It was really busy so we were shown to the more restaurant-y area and we had starters of poached egg with asparagus wrapped in ham (amazing) and avocado and smoked salmon crostini (also amazing), and for mains an amazing salmon fillet with potato cake and celeriac puree (for £9-odd was flipping brilliant) and I can't remember what my partner had but he said it was great!!! The third time we went was hit and miss, frankly. We visited on a lunchtime and had sandwiches - my partner a ciabatta that was advertised as avocado. Where the avocado was I couldn't tell you. It was sort of like an orange-coloured paste which may or may not have had avocado in it. Partner refused to ask staff about it. I had a club sandwich which was tasty but the bacon was very fatty and hadn't been crisped up which was a shame. So a mixed bag but seriously very good overall.
