Superb ale & food. We had mussels and a top-rate burger that really tasted of beef! lovely views of the river, pub not over-restored, friendly people. Pleaasant walk to castle with panorama over the Bay. Must go back.

Room Tip: Did not spend the night. Wouldn`t mind doing so.

My daughter and I had a lovely weekend here visiting friends, the room was great, very comfy bed (wanted to steal the pillows!) and fab shower and coffee making facilities. The staff were excellent, attentive and helpful without being OTT and the breakfast was freshly cooked to order, excellent quality and exactly as ordered. Can't wait to come back!

We spent one night in this lovely and homely inn. We had dinner in the bar/restaurant then breakfast in the morning. The food was excellent! The staff were courteous and polite, the proprietors were extremely friendly and all this made for a great atmosphere.
The room was immaculate and looked out across the river Lune, it was very comfortable. I would highly recommend this place for a stay.

Me and my missis enjoyed an overnight stay a the Wagon and Horses with a room overlooking the River Lune.

Nothing was too much trouble for the most courteous staff.

The place was spotless and the food delicious.

What a breakfast.

Will visit again some time.

Room Tip: Ask for a river view.
