We had checked in late around 9 pm on Saturday, we need to go to the restaurant to ask for the keys. There was no lobby of the this hotel, just have to go inside the restaurant and ask any waiters/ waitresses there.
There's no Wi-fi in room even it's advertised that wifi is available everywhere in this hotel.
The worst thing for this hotel is no one answer the phone, we've just wanted more toilet papers. We stayed there for 2 nights but we had breakfast only one. They've closed the restaurant on Monday morning, so we didn't have any breakfast. We didn't know why they didn't provide us the breakfast or inform us a bit about this. Just disappeared!!!!
Actually we booked this hotel for 3 days, but they said that our booking had some conflicts. So the third day we need to move the the next Hotel (Royal Kings Arm). Kings Arm said that, Crows did like this again, transfer their guests here! Fortunately Kings Arm is better both service quality of service and breakfast.
No more for Crows!!!!

Absolutely no complaints. Friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are above the restaurant and accessed via separate entrance. We had our very own front door for room 2 directly onto the steps and then onto main street. We were happy with this arrangement as we were free to come and go as we pleased with no reliance on reception etc. Breakfast service was prompt and food well cooked and portions good too. We could hear a bit of traffic noise but barely worth mentioning as good double glazing - our room was at the back so off main road anyway. I loved the central location personally as everything was on the doorstep. Room was spotless and cleaned everyday. tons of tea and coffee etc. Wifi a bit sketchy but was able to connect with BT hotspot anyway no problem. Owner is friendly but unintrusive and able to answer our questions about the area. Near enough to the train station - a few mins walk - we didn't take the car so cant comment on parking. At less than £50 per room per night including breakfast I think it is well priced and a great place for a base. Also the rooms are nice and warm in winter.

I had little faith in the hotel after I read the reviews. I was expecting dirty hotel, with loud noise. Well the noise was certainly an issue. Despite closing the windows the noise could still be heard. Me and My Partner were surprised with the spacious bedroom. It was on the top floor, with a nice bed. The breakfast next morning was dissapointing my omellete cooked with pepper and my partners toast was mouldy. Other then that the staff where friendly and curteous.

Room Tip: Take Ear Plugs as the noise is quite heavy.

We stayed at the Crows Nest on Saturday night 18/08/2012 for the one night.
We were told that breakfast was served between 08:00 and 10:00 on Sunday. We made everyone aware that we had to leave by 08:30 as we had a busy schedule.
At 07:55 we were all waiting for the hotel restaurant to be opened and we were still waiting at 08:25.
Basically we were charged for bed and breakfast but no one arrived to provide the breakfast.
The room comfort wasn't bad but when you are charged (in advance) for B&B you expect to receive a breakfast in the morning.

Brilliant overnight stay in this reasonably priced hotel. The room was a nice size and the bed was amazing. The lad serving breakfast in the morning was very friendly and good crack. I would defiantly stay again.

We walked into the room and was overhelmed by the smell of stale tobacco which was surprising considering the hole in the smashed window that had shards of glass hanging out. We were promised a shower in the ensuite but it only had a bath. The tub was lovely an deep but was surrounded by cracked tiles with mouldy grouting and silicone. There was no natural light or ventilation, natural or otherwise in the damp bathroom. The bedroom was cheaply furnished and was complimented by a slapdash paint job and broken blinds. Although the beds were comfortable I can't say I have ever had such a poor nights sleep due to the incredible noise echoing around the street right outside the window. The blinds shut out little light which also hindered rest.
I did initially complain about the room to a pleasant soulboy who offered to lend me some northern soul C.D.s to smooth things over. He fetched the manager who was very rude and unsympathetic. He did offer me another room in their Sister hotel down the road. But it was getting late In the evening and I had little confidence that the other hotel was any better. The best thing about our stay was the wonderful breakfast soulboy made and served us.
