“Superb facilities & location”
Reviewed October 7, 2015 for a stay in September 2015

We were there recently for 9 days while sending our son to University of Warwick. We had a warm welcome by Dave, the manager in charge.
We loved the coziness of the house and were amazed by the attentiveness of the owner in preparing the amenities
The parking was so easy.as we can park by the roadside outside the house and we were lucky to park in front of the door on most occasions.
The location was superb as we could easily have access to convenience stores, eating places and other towns nearby such as warwick, stratfod, coventry etc.
For sure we will be back again.
Cheers.

“A Welcome Spring Break”
Reviewed April 27, 2015 for a stay in April 2015

We stayed at the Canal House in early spring. This meant we saw ducklings swimming alongside the patio and the nearby Jephson Garden was in full bloom. The house provided a central base from which to travel to other places by train. The central UK location was easy for friends and family to travel to. We are fairly sturdy walkers on our vacations and the house was within walking distance to the train station, parks, shops, and museum etc. However, elderly persons or those with impaired mobility may find the walking distances a bit of a challenge. There was an interesting looking pub directly opposite the house. However, it was closed for renovations at this time. It appeared to have a roof garden/restaurant which would come in handy when reopened for business. We had several visits to The Jug and Jester which had decent food and good service. We walked there a few times – even at night as the area felt safe. The house itself was clean and comfortable with all amenities such as dishwasher, clothes washer/dryer, kitchen utensils, TV etc. The best feature of the property was the location on the canal. We could sit on the patio or in the living room and watch the ducks. We had two annoyances which included the hot water shutting itself off (it could be turned back on again), and the door and lock to the canal entry way required unjamming – the property manager was very personable, lives within minutes, and gave prompt attention. I understand there is a new lock/door on order. Overall, we would stay at the Canal House again.

“Relaxing and charming”
Reviewed April 7, 2015 for a stay in April 2015

The Villa was clean and quaint with everything we needed for a relaxing break. Towels, hairdryer, wine, chocolates, all provided! The location was excellent for our needs - a short walk into Leamington town centre for excellent shopping. Plenty of space for parking and short drives to Coventry and Stratford-Upon-Avon. Excellent bars and restaurants in the area too. A warm welcome from Dave on arrival.

“Great little home from home”
Reviewed September 12, 2014 for a stay in September 2014

We had a 3 night stay at the Villa, and it was perfect for our needs.
The manager that greeted us was very friendly & helpful, and left a lovely gift of a small bottle of wine each & a box of chocs.
Spotless throughout, with comfortable & modern furnishings. The kitchen is very well equipped with everything you may need, right down to spices & oils etc in the cupboard.
Very comfortable bed, and a spacious bathroom.
As the weather was nice, we spent most of our time whilst there out on the patio overlooking the canal.
Despite being next to quite a busy road, with a pub across the canal, it was still quiet & peaceful. A great little place to unwind & relax, and perfectly situated as a base for sightseeing. It also feels very safe & secure there.
A short walk through the edge of town leads to Jephson Gardens, a lovely park to take a stroll through, and also has a hothouse.
Warwick castle is only a 15 min drive from the Villa, and if you decide to visit, stop by the Mill garden next to it, we found it delightful!
Overall, all you need to take are your clothes & toiletries, everything else is provided. I would highly recommend it!

“A lovely haven close to the town centre”
Reviewed August 12, 2014 for a stay in July 2014

We stayed in this property for few days whilst I was competing at Stoneleigh. It was very convenient location with a CoOp close by with all we needed for our stay.
The apartment was charming and spotlessly clean. It was lovely to have the terrace to sit out on, particularly in the spectacular weather we were blessed with. I loved watching the world go by, though the canal is not over busy.

The bed was really comfortable and we both slept very well. We had our daughters staying for a couple of nights which meant we used the sofa bed. This was a useful bonus as we were unsure of the number of people wanting to stay when we booked the property so we didn't want to commit to a two bedroom property.
The kitchen was perfectly well equipped for our holiday needs. Though there is no specific parking we found it easy to park on the street each evening within close proximity to the villa.

The owner was away during our visit but the housekeeper was very helpful with any queries we had.

All in all a very successful stay. Thank you
