These delightful gardens are a tranquil retreat in the centre of Leamington Spa. Flanked by Newbold Terrace on one side and the river Leam on one other, they've enjoyed the benefit of lottery funding and it shows. There are gardens within gardens, my favourite being the sensory garden (pretty much in the middle) designed to trigger each of the five senses as you walk through.

Of course, the river provides an ideal backdrop, but the combination of aged trees, lush lawns and wonderful flower beds really is something special and there are plenty of seats so you can stop and enjoy the experience.

There's a tea room in the middle, a small greenhouse with some great plants and a pond of coy carp, a couple of fountains and the Jephson Memorial.

Beautiful garden....with serene pond and fountains. Get some bird food and feed the pigeons and the ducks. Best way to enjoy nature and connect with the wildlife. It is magical as it unwinds your stressed mind !

Such a beautiful park in the town. A place to relax- read a book, feed the ducks. Or attend a well organised event.

Set in the centre of Leamington Spa with beautiful gardens, tropical glasshouse, fountains, short riverside walk and a small café. A pedestrian footbridge over the river leads to a children's playground and boat hire.
Two criticisms. Firstly, despite the notices some people still insist on feeding the pigeons, of which there are quite a few, so watch out walking under the trees. Secondly, care needs to be taken with youngsters as cycling is not prohibited.
