The heathcote is on the up, new managers have worked hard to create a warm, friendly atmosphere. The food was excellent, could do with adding a children's menu choice. Without doubt best pub in whitnash.

I'm writing a new review because this pub is now under new management. Me and my other half always enjoyed coming here before, and we were very sad to hear about things changing. However, it turned out to be a huge improvement! The couple running the pub are lovely and always make us (and everyone else there) feel very welcome. A lot of our friends have said the same and they love coming here. The general atmosphere is really homely and we've got to know a lot of nice regulars recently. It has become one of these places where you can take anyone (work, partner or family), or even come on your own without feeling awkward or left out. This is now by far our favourite place to go!

We are local to the pub and decided to call in after a meal out at 10:40 for one drink, to be told be a guy on the drinking side of the bar that 'sorry we are closed'

The pub had approx 25 customers all drinking. It was myself and my wife trying to use the 'local' for what it should be used for, landlords like that only have themselves to blame for a drop in business. I think the fault is with the brewery as I believe the current landlords are employed managers who clearly have no desire for growing the business, very disappointing as it used to be a nice, welcoming traditional pub.

Living only a few minutes away and never really going in we decided to give it a go,we wanted a meal so we chose a homemade Lasagne & a mixed grill. Thinking it might just be microwaved pub food we were pleasantly surprised the lasagne WAS homemade and lovely the mixed grill was superb photo to follow and looked like it was a photo perfect recipe book picture and tasted just as good. We enjoyed it do much we went back for Sunday lunch we all had roast beef and it was just as good and looked amazing possibly the best roast I've ever had out.
