“No glasses”
Reviewed June 23, 2013 via mobile

Didn't take my reading glasses so we got the manager to make recommendations - end price was high, but we got their full attention with the service and a tasty meal to boot.....

I would you there again but take something to read with to keep the cost down.

Food was nice hot and timely - worth a try

“Top end curry house”
Reviewed May 13, 2013 via mobile

This is a very nice Indian restaurant, slightly more sophisticated than the average , not full of the usual drunk pub crowd....well apart from a few of our group. Food selections are a little different but are very nicely presented....however the bill will be at least 50% more than the usual curry house offerings. Worth it for somewhere a bit nicer though.

“Would go elsewhere for takeaways in Leamington”
Reviewed April 16, 2013

I've never eaten in the Memsaab restaurant, so this review is based purely on my takeaway experience. I have to add though that we used to live nearby and the main reason that we have never eaten in as because the drinks menu was so expensive.

We have been there several times to pick up takeaways, and the food has always been tasty, but the portions seem to have got smaller. It's a bit disappointing when you order a chicken curry and you get a tray of sauce with 4-5 lumps of chicken in it. Needless to say we have started ordering takeaways from Kismet instead and it has been better (and they deliver).

The decor in Memsaab is classy and stylised, but I've never really seen it that busy. But perhaps judging by other reviews, it would be worth a try.

“A lovely place with a touch of class!”
Reviewed April 2, 2013 via mobile

When we first arrived at the restaurant, we was shown to the lounge area where our drinks menu was offered all at very reasonable prices. Manny the restaurant owner came over to chat to us which we felt was a nice added touch. We was promptly shown to our table in the main restaurant area, our food was delivered hot and sizzling from one of the main chefs and tasted absolutely delicious, I had the lamb rogan josh and my wife had the chicken Jalfrazi.
The restaurant staff, Michelle and Katie make you feel very welcome indeed with their prompt service our glasses was always filled again once emptied.
The decor of the restaurant is not like the average Indian restaurant but very modern indeed with a coffee and cream colour scheme which works very well indeed. It's an extremely clean venue and we even had the chance to take a look around the kitchen area with its stainless steal wall and work surfaces and a very clean tiled floor. We understand its been awarded a top 5 for food hygiene and we can see why.
We had lovely meal at Mem-Saab and Manny, Michelle and Katie added the finishing touch to such a wonderful evening.
We highly recommend this restaurant, Leamington Spa, you don't know how lucky you are to have such a wonderful place in your town - we just wish it was a little more closer to home, but that won't stop us visiting you again - well done!
