“Wonderful!”
Reviewed January 19, 2013

This was a great restaurant and we had a great time. On arrival we were sat in the lounge area and our drinks orders were taken, along with hors d'oeurves such as truffle popcorn which were delightful! After being seated in the dining room, we were amazed by the surroundings, the room was lovely and the gardens made for lovely views. The service was fantastic and food was served promptly and without a glitch. There was lots of choice on the menu with lots of interesting-sounding and original dishes. The main of Venison was especially delicious - cooked to perfection with complementing flavours and textures. The cheese selection for dessert was like nothing I have ever seen - there was lots of choice - the cheese came out on a trolley with a waiter describing each cheese with the type and origin of each cheese - things like this were fantastic extra touches that really made it special. The coffee and petit-fours rounded the meal off lovely! Will hopefully return for some more excellent food, service and surroundings.

“Quintessentially English Michelin-starred restaurant”
Reviewed January 12, 2013

My wife and I dined here for lunch yesterday and had, not only a great meal, but also a wonderful experience. The only downside was that the restaurant was very quiet (us and only one other table) but, in some ways, that was to our advantage.

The food was truly delicious and really lived up to it's star rating. The staff, whilst polite and competent could have been a little cheerier (it never hurts to smile)!

The weekday luncheon menu was fantastic value.

The grounds were immaculate so we'd like to go back and see them in the summer.

“Wonderful Restaurant, Flawless Food, Fantastic Service.”
Reviewed January 6, 2013

I have been lucky enough to visit Mallory Court on several occasions and have never been disappointed.
The food is just superb, beautifully presented, with well balanced flavours and a good selection of seasonal ingredients on the menu.
The service was fantastic, staff are attentive and add to the experience.
The location and gardens are just beautiful and during good weather, provide an ideal opportunity to enjoy the views with a cafetiere of coffee and a tray of delectable petit fours.
Five of us dined for a special occasion and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the food, ambiance and location.
I would highly recommend a visit.

“Going downhill, not what it was.”
Reviewed December 29, 2012

Just been there after Christmas for a 3 course lunch menu priced at £32.95 per head.

I had been there 3 years ago for an evening meal and the food was some of the best we had ever had in the area.

This was completely different. The starter was ok but nothing special, plain salmon with some sauces. The main course of Ox was cooked ok but the accompanying sides added nothing and the flavours with the Ox were not great. My mother and brother-in-law had pork with lentils, which was terrible. The pork was like rubber and the dish was completely bland. My mother had to exchange it for the fish dish, which they gladly did, and she enjoyed the meal. The fish brill was very nice, but one out of three is not very good for a lunch menu.

There were also a few very poor errors by the staff. First of all they charged us for 3 JD and Cokes when we had ordered 2. Secondly they charged us £28 per child meal when they had agreed on the phone £15 per child. They even challenged us on this but eventually agreed to amend the bill. Thirdly we asked for veg with the childrens meals which they completely forgot. The child meal consisted of a few chicken nuggets on top of plain mash with no veg. Even £15 for that was a joke.

Overall not a very pleasant experience considering the cost. Such a let down after having been there a few years ago and being blown away by the food. Just been to Momenti Italian and 3 of us ate for £48, here it cost £200 for 4 adults and 2 children and the food at Momenti was a million times better and staff more personal.

The staff were nice enough but it felt quite cold. All the staff are new foreigners, which I have no issue with as my parents are immigrants, but the place just lacked the Warwickshire warmth that the setting deserved. Its almost like they were very good at playing the role but lacked something more sincere.

“Gorgeous venue”
Reviewed December 3, 2012

This is a wonderful hotel, with a great brasserie restaurant. The hotel also does afternoon tea

We have a great time every time we go, and a lot of the staff seem to have stayed a while - which I think says something about the place.

The food is really well presented, and is sometimes unusual combinations that work well. But they also do more classic combinations.

I would recommend for nice lunches, and special occasions.
