We have been regular visitors to Premier Hotels and can't fault the facilties or the staff. They are all outstanding, and tend to all your requirements. The only thing I would question is the lack of a telephone to cope with emergencies!
Room clean, service good, but Restuarant has a fly problem, most noticed in the evening.
Enjoyed stay, very courteous and welcoming staff at reception and breakfast area.They have either been taught well or comes naturally.

Although not one of the newest Premier Inns, this one was clean and comfortable. The adjacent pub had great value food and a reasonable atmosphere. We did not have breakfast so cannot comment on that. The only issue we had was the lack of mobile phone signal, at least on O2, T-Mobile and Three. Could only use a mobile when standing out in the car park. You have to pay for wi-fi in the room but you can get it free in the pub, which is useful. Out-of-town location was ideal as it is only a few minutes out and also a short drive to a large Morrisons supermarket. Plenty of free parking on site.
Premier Inn Preston West is located just outside Preston on the main road to Balckpool. The hotel is a seperate building from the neighbouring Lea Gate bar and restaurant where breakfast is served. This hotel was very good value in my opinion. The room was a standard chain hotel room but very clean and comfortable. All the staff we met were very friendly and helpful.
The next door Lea Gate bar and restaurant is badly in need of some refurbishment, the multi pattern carpet is very 1970s! However the staff are friendly and helpful. The food is good and reasonably priced and the service is fairly quick. Breakfast is also served here in the mornings. I felt the amount of each item on display tended to be far too small for the number of customers they were trying to serve. Many things quickly ran out eg juice, plates etc and you had to ask a member of staff to fetch more which they did but this was all a bit irritating at times.
The hotel is family friendly with free kids breakfasts and a large outdoor play area. Car parking is free and was always available. As others have pointed out some areas of the tarmac are badly in need of repair. Overall this is a good choice if you need a cheap, clean, friendly and comfortable base in the Preston area but convenient to Blackpool as well. We would go back again.
