I'm guessing 90% of the Guild Wheel is on cycle track/paths. I do it about twice a week on average. Helped me lose over two stone this summer. It is well sign posted but you do have to concentrate or you can miss a sign. I tend to daydream whilst cycling and I've made the odd wrong turn when I started doing the circuit. Helps to have a bell on your bike as there are plenty pedestrians on sunny days in certain parts. But well done to Preston, the Guild Wheel is a great success in my view.

Pack your lunch and cycle away superb bike ride, however make sure you do your homework on the cycle ride as some parts aren't for the faint hearted.

Rode the Guild Wheel today, it is a great ride for all abilities and goes through some wonderful parts of Preston you will will never normally see. My favorite bit is from the Brockholes nature reserve along the banks of the river until you come out to cross the A6 on London Road. Most of the route is smooth tarmac and is suitable for all types of bikes. I did it in 2 hours 12 mins door to door 27 miles.
