Had an enjoyable meal here after taking point in a Cut-throat Ghost Walk in Preston. A nice ambiance, fairly quiet and indian music. Had poppadum's, pickles, nan bread and bhajis - all delicious. Good service - nice food. I had some kind of a curry dish called Thawa Chicken with rice- very delicious, quite mild, very rounded. My adult son had a Bhuna. We also had a couple of lagers and a bottle of red wine. Thoroughly enjoyed it all. Toilets also very good, large and clean. Would go again. My previous curry was in an upstairs restaurant in central Calcutta. While I enjoyed Calcutta, I felt more comfortable in the Preston restaurant. In Calcutta, a chicken curry generally has a leg in it. They say it is more tasty. I believe it was quiet - awaiting the closing pub trade. My son has used this place before and always enjoys it. The restaurant does not serve sweets apart from pineapple fritters. We would have really enjoyed some sort of ice-cream dessert - perhaps similar to some that we had in Mumbai.
