Thank you for your kind comments and compliments. I am delighted that you enjoyed your stay at Ibis Preston North and look forward to welcoming you back again soon. Kind regards, Ryan Edwards
Stayed here on a very, very quiet Friday night just after Christmas. The place seemed empty, but admittedly we got the room for a bargain basement price of £30 room only. We didn't try the breakfast, but in my view it's overpriced at £7.50 each. We received a pleasant welcome at reception and the room itself was very clean with the usual Ibis facilities - a decent shower, soap and towels in the bathroom, a reasonably comfortable bed, a TV and tea and coffee stuff and er... that's it. Limited frills as I call it!
The location is convenient as it's right off the M6/M55 interchange on the way to Blackpool, but it also gives it a very sterile stopover-hotel feel. It's certainly not somewhere to go for a romantic getaway, put it that way. I also found the room a bit cold and echoey, even compared to other Ibis hotels. No pictures on the wall or anything homely like that. For £30 per room per night, I'm not complaining but if you are spending more, it's worth considering whether you would feel more comfortable elsewhere.
Having said that, there are plenty of parking spaces outside and if what you are looking for is a stopover place and nothing more, this will do the job nicely. We weren't bothered by traffic noise either even though the motorway is adjacent - the double glazing must do a good job. In summer though, leaving the window open could cause an issue with that as I don't think there was any aircon.
Thank you for taking the time to write a review about your recent visit at Ibis Preston North. I’m pleased that you enjoyed your stay and we have noted your comments Kind regards, Beverley Derbyshire
I stayed in this hotel over Christmas as most hotels in Preston city centre were either closed over Christmas day and boxing day or were priced over £300. The location is just off Jct for the M55/M6 which is good. There is a large car park and next door is a pub called the Phantom Winger if you prefer not to drink in the hotel.
Rooms were decent, a good walk-in shower nice firm bed, it appeared they were trying out a new type of bed. Basic tv services, but they do offer recent movies for a fee. Breakfast was ok, a choice of cereals or scrambled eggs, bacon, mushrooms, etc.
If you get the package with the internet you can only use the wired internet, wi-fi is through Orange and comes at a premium. To enable wired internet you must use the TV which I found strange, be careful to check your bill as we were charged for it twice. The said they are trying to get wi-fi, but the contract with orange could not be broken.
Thank you for posting your kind words on here, we really value your feedback and look forward to welcoming you back on your next visit. Many Thanks Beverley Derbyshire
Stayed here on route to Scotland for xmas for one night it served its purpose well and ticked all my boxes. Near to motorway and had a pub/restaurant next door which was ok as well I chose it because i always find Ibis reliable and clean and very good value
Thank you for your kind comments and compliments. I am delighted that you enjoyed your stay at Ibis Preston and look forward to welcoming you back again soon. Kind regards,
Room excellent although there was some mould in shower. Some issue with having to renew key card each night was irritating. But staff efficient, pleasant and very willing. (a couple of lights not working. I did not mention next morning - it was Christmas Day. Cleaning staff reported andfront desk had replaced one other on order.
We did not try food or bar. Would have liked more TV channels (like at home) but that was as it was Christmas. As a laptop newbe, would have liked better directions to connect up to broadband as experienced at previous hotel. Overall, WE WILL DEFINITELY STAY AGAIN, GREAT VALUE. Thanks to all
Thank you for your comments, however I was disappointed to hear that you felt not all aspects of the hotels facilities ran smoothly. I do apologise. Please if you do stay with us again ask for help with such things as the internet as we are always happy to help
