“Lovely building, Shame about the food”
Reviewed October 20, 2012

Lovely building, nice and oldy worldy with original features, you really want the food to be good bu its not. We came here for lunch today at 12.00 and they had nothing left of the sandwhich menu, so I asked for a burger without bacon or cheese, it came with bacon and cheese, they asked if i would like it changing (ofcourse I do, its not what I asked for) but on a tight time scale didnt have time to wait for another, my mums lunch also came without the source it said it came with on the menu.

Also went once for sunday lunch, and it was served cold, thought we'd give it the benefit of the doubt and go once more, but I wont be going again and I deffinitely wouldnt reccomend or risk it with a large group.

“Well worth a visit”
Reviewed October 16, 2012

Staying in a nearby hotel we thought it would be good to eat out - we were so glad we did. All the staff were friendly, cheerful and very attentive. The restaurant was busy and bustling but not too busy or crowded to spoil the ambience. The tasty, well presented food didn't disappoint as we both enjoyed all elements of our meal and we will definitely go back there when in the Preston area. Three courses, a bottle of wine, 2 drinks and 2 espresso's cost £70 - a good price when in such lovely surroundings and being served with such superb efficiency and timing.

“Slightly disappointed.”

Went as a party of 5 for a special occasion.Pleasant unstuffy atmosphere.Food mainly good but my mixed grill was cold in parts,I think if a restaurant can get a mixed grill right it is a good indication of their skills.Pleasant staff and clean toilets, drinks pricey.8 out of 10!
