“Traumatising experience”
Reviewed September 3, 2013

Went to Bukhara for a friends birthday meal and I was left traumatised. I found a huge dead wasp in a dish. I was in shock and hurry and more than anything disgusted. Went I talked the manger he simply replied saying "listen yeah it fell in the dish from my journey to the kitchen to your table" um no it was at the bottom of the dish don't try to justify it with that excuse. Did not even have the decency to say sorry. Absoloutely disgusted. Never again.

“Don't bother”
Reviewed September 2, 2013 via mobile

Worst food I've ever tasted, chicken was grey and dried up. Too salty to be edible and there was a big hair in the sauce. Two different dishes, (equally bad) tasted the same. When we complained they replaced them with two different dishes which were more expensive and charged us the extra, nothing complimentary. The waiter said that chicken breast is always dry and it's salty cause its grilled! Never heard such [--]! The second dishes weren't much better, not that they asked. Didn't ask for a doggy bag as I wouldn't be so cruel as to feed it to anyone else, won't be going back there. Only soft drinks available, which is fine, but they are very expensive.

“Excellent quality food”
Reviewed August 15, 2013 via mobile

Went here on the last day of Eid and, as expected, it was very busy. Service is fast and efficient, food is to die for. An exciting menu, many dishes not to be found elsewhere. 10/10 to all the enthusiastic staff who make this restaurant such a hit. Well worth the 40 mile round trip we make just to eat here. You're the best. Keep up the good work. As for the 'Afghani Lamb'...please, please share the recipe. Its absolutely heavenly, too good to be kept a secret.

“great indian food”
Reviewed August 5, 2013

The food is authentic indian food, look around you and see how many indian families are dining with you. they do not allow alcohol, which I consider is a waste any way, when eating spicy food . try the Lassi it is perfect with spiced food. Top class service, top class food, in good surroundings.

“Excellent food, service and decor could improve”
Reviewed July 21, 2013 via mobile

We found this place a few months ago and initially ordered a take away. It is about a 15 minute drive and although we have other options a couple of minutes away, it is worth the effort.
The restaurant itself isn't particularly inspiring in terms of decor and the service is a bit hit and miss. But the food is excellent. We have eaten in some of the best Indian restaurants and experienced food first hand in Mumbai and this would be near the top of my list.
The food is more authentic than general Indian cuisine in the UK. Dishes like chana chat are not available widely and are excellent here. Lack of alcohol is not really a problem and the fresh lime soda is great with the spicy food. Speaking of which, most dishes are offered in mild, medium or hot which means you get to choose how much to sweat!
As I said the decor and service are not great and for that reason we will often opt for a take away. Prices for that are cheaper than eating in the restaurant and we can get a couple of starters, curry, rice and naan bread and have change from £15.
All in all I would highly recommend.
