This used to be a lovely place to take children. A walk around the pond and views from the top are lovely but oh dear....the dog poo is awful. I found it....so unpleasant to get off your shoe. People let dogs run free and don't watch what they are doing. Not everybody goes up the park to have someone's dog jump up you and a lot of children are scared of them. Dogs should be kept on a lead so owners can be responsible and let everyone enjoy the park.

This is a great park to visit either in Summer or Winter, grew up in this park as a kid and still use it as an adult to walk the dog, feed the ducks etc

What a lovely place for a walk and for the kids.lovely lake and lots of heritage like the icehouse. A fab children's play area and if you go to the church at the top there is a walled garden fab.

This is my favourite place to walk our dogs, the huge area at the back of the regular park is just excellent for the dog to have a great run around and several ponds to have a quick dip in.

During the summer you can visit the church on a Sunday between 3-5pm where you can get tea and coffee served with home baked cakes.
A walk around the park and its surrounding woodland completes your Sunday afternoon outing.
The park is also equipped with free tennis courts and an adventure playground for the kids.
There is a duck pond with loads of wildlife to see, but please don't feed white bread as it causes deformity of the wings in geese.
