We have just had an utterly superb meal in Peel's at Hampton Manor. Everything about the setting, the dining room, the bar and the service was Delightful. Seamus the sommelier was both knowledgable and so helpful without being snooty and gave excellent advice on food and wine pairings. The restaurant was busy but had a lovely buzz to it, the staff were attentive but not overbearing and timings of food arrival was just spot on, neither too soon nor too late between courses. Now to the food - it was just spectacular - seasonal, beautifully conceived and exquisitely executed to captivate all of the senses delivering exceptional quality at a very reasonable £45 for 3 courses. All told the bill was £160 for 2 of us and as this was one of the best meals I have ever eaten I was very pleasantly surprised. My only gripe was the coffee. The decaf espresso was just not up to the standard of a restaurant surely within touching distance of a Michelin Star. However, that is so easily remedied and I would recommend this place to anyone, it is just stunning.
