“Good location and leisure for a family break”
Reviewed October 31, 2012

Stayed here for 2 nights in a family room at the start of Half Term. Room was fine, bit tight with two extra beds in it but to be expected. Clean and smart decor, only let down was the cheap wall dispenser of shower gel/shampoo. Great leisure facility but has a large outside membership so can get busy. Decent buffet for breakfast and great location for visiting attractions in the area, particularly with small children.

We stayed in a family room with 2 grandchildren.A bit cramped but OK for 1 night. The swimming pool was the big attraction for them and they loved it.The meal in Verve was fine. Our grandson said he had tasted better burgers but ate the lot.Puzzle books provided were very good.
Breakfast choice was excellent.Missed the grapefruit and other fruit and muesli as it was with the cooked breakfast and not the cereals.Good value.

I stayed recently for six nights on business. The rooms were nicely appointed and reasonably clean and the leisure facilities were excellent but the hotel was let down by very expensive drinks at the bar very dirty communal areas especially the stairs and sub-standard cooked breakfast. However the car parking was free unlike many other hotels in the area but I will look elsewhere for my next visit.

Stopped for one night last night. Saw the hotel at arriving and was presently surprised. It looked nice, modern, with a nice customer base. It was a Friday night and the football on so there was a nice atomisphere in the pub kitchen and the steak resturant across was even better (personally) cause that's more my type of thing. Nice, quiet and a place for a tasty classy meal if me and my boyfriend wanted that night. Although a bit pricey. The room clean and nice. A little small since we booked a family room but we were happy so didn't complain. We felt hungry but began to watch a movie. Room Service was a menu from the steakhouse Resturant. Very pricey as it come to just over £50 for ribs and steak, one desert and one large coke. On top of that my steak was verrry cold and they had sent my order wrong. Ordered the chocolate fondant as desert and that was completely cold and not a fondant at all. Just a cake. Although the ribs that my boyfriend ordered were amazing, very big portion and tasty.
In the morning the cleaners were very rude. They had bad manners which was very surprising since the other members of staff were so nice, polite with excellent manners.

Overall, we would return. Not order room service and not pay for a breakfast with the room as it was pointless.
Other then that the hotel is very nice and I'm sure the leisure area is just as nice but we had both forgot our swimwear.

Really fantastic hotel: great ambience, solid decor, good food, and a state of the art health and fitness centre (with free 30-45 mins instructor training as compliment).

Went to Birmingham for a friend's wedding and after scouring through loads of hotel, trying to get the best value, settled for Dever Village.

Stayed there for two nights and really enjoyed my time there. Will definitely stay there again whenever I go up to Birmingham.

Highly recommended.

Stayed in this overnight on a Thursday night last week for a Team Away day with work. The room was impressive, nice size, well furnished and with modern facilities. The gym/pool were great. The restaurant looked nice and the bar was too with great service. Breakfast was lovely.

The only downside was being woken at 7.40am by Housekeeping!

Had a wonderful stay at the hotel, the swimming pool and sauna were excellent! Have to have a moan about the amount of dust around the Starbucks seating area tho! Had a great meal in the restaurant, but our order was muddled up and came in dribs and drabs ( we were a table of 4 adults and 3 kids) , the kids were getting restless with the amount of time waiting! The restaurant was a busy being a Saturday night and the waiting staff were great, BUT appeared very stressed and very under staffed!

Our room was great and the beds really comfortable. I will defiantly return again!
