Pub restaurant, tucked in amongst a well-to-do 1980s housing estate. Been here a few times and had a great meals and just OK meals, generally good atmosphere. Clearly a haunt of the local 30 something "look at me" brigade, but past this it's OK. Food can be a bit hit-and-miss and on one occasion only just warm enough. Christmas lunch was certainly not something to write home about, the vegetables came all together, piled on top of each other in one serving dish and largely consisted of red cabbage. I don't know if it just feels like this, but staff always seem angling for tips (which we are happy to give, but only if the service is good enough). We are trying the place once more as it has been good, but if it still seems to be resting on its laurels we will go elsewhere in future.
