“Good location, clean and functional rooms. Restaurant poor”
Reviewed September 28, 2012

The nicely surprising thing for us was discovering a very pleasant, off the beaten track, footpath to the town center . (Well, it's on the once-beaten track of the now-disused railway line.) The receptionist only mentioned it as an afterthought, but it turned out to be a very tranquil and pretty half-hour or so walk into & out of town. It begins in a small housing estate opposite - you'd never find it if you didn't know it was there. Buggy-friendly too. Rooms clean and comfortable. Current building work was no inconvenience at all.
But - the restaurant is best avoided. There is an indoor kids 'soft play' area adjacent to the restaurant with some not so soft bits and very dubious cleanliness. Atmosphere in the restuarant when we were there was rowdy and unpleasant. No problem with the kids, but the parents.....
Breakfast was a tad shambolic too - I get the impression that the staff try fairly hard, but there simply aren't enough of them.

Stayed here on Bank holiday enroute to Malvern. Ideally siuated just off the M5 very easy to find. There was work being done to this hotel but we had been informed of this but it did not cause us any problems as there was no work going on over the Bank holiday. Parking may be a problem in the future as some of the car park is being used to enlarge this Premier Inn. Speedy check in and room comfortable and clean. No flat screen TV and shower pressure not good. Bed very comfortable and usual supply of extra pillows and plenty of towels. Needed extra coffee etc which was supplied from reception. The town of Tewkesbury is lovely although you do really need a car as it is quite a long walk into town. Will use this Premier Inn again when next visiting the area.

Family Room given to us was on the ground floor and had no air conditioning. On a really warm night it was so uncomfortable we were shattered the next day. Traffic noise is horrendous especially when you need a window open.

Policy is to get a good night's sleep.....sorry you won't get that here unless you're a heavy
sleeper :-(
