Interesting, but not suitable for those with walking difficulties since there are very steep stairs.

The entry fee gets you into two seperate sites - firstly the john Moore museum which is all about British wildlife, conservation and the author (born in what is now the Tudor House Hotel!) who nowadays is quite obscure. It's pretty interesting but the real star is the merchants house, a Tudor cottage in the same row of houses which has been restored to how it would have been in the 15th century. You can walk on a genuine Tudor staircase - usually that sort of thing is roped off but here you can look in every room and they have got modern replicas of the furniture etc so you can see exactly what it might have been like. It's small (4 rooms) but a genuine treasure. The secret garden (the second one I know of in Tewkesbury - the first is in Tudor house hotel!) is wonderful too. Excellent value.

If you enjoy history this is an absolute must. The exhibition on John Moore and his work was interesting and held the interest of the whole family (youngest 4) for a good while, although the youngest found the steep stairs a bit daunting at first. The reconstructed medieval house is simply brilliant. We were lead around by a very knowledgeable and personable guide who held all our interest, whilst the audio tours were a hit with the older children (8+) and the dressing up props with the younger. The Old Baptist Chapel was again showed by a lovely guide who knew the building and obviously cared about the history it represented.
I would recommend it to anyone, although to get the most out of all three sites you would need to be able to manage some fairly steep stairs.
